ManU players are trained to be attention-seeking and talk constantly to referees as this feeds their ego none more than Mike Dean who loves his celebrity role.

Its hard luck on the paying public who won't be seeing much football but who cares about them.

I thought there was a new rule about players approaching the refs. Didn't stop them yesterday as usual. That rule obviously doesn't apply to them.

Pundits go on about what Rooney's best position is, but clearly it's wherever the referee is.

NO,NO,NO !

I have made my comments, I have nothing more to add so wil refrain from doing so.

I know you love a WILLO thread and all the WILLO baiting but alas I am going to disappoint you.

So you are the ONLY person who believes that the ref was correct.....Even Graham poll, most referees all the pundits, even plenty of man u fans agree IT WAS NOT A RED CARD but the normal Red bias came into effect..... Rojo V Palace same tackle..No card ! Forensic analysis helps no one, it's hagwash piffle balderdash to cover up referees errors which are becoming all too common now!!

I understand that referees have the option of letting play continue and then bringing the game back to a noted infringement (when giving advantage has not given a fair result). Will I ever see the "result" at such a pause of two Man u players receiving red cards, Rooney being given a yellow for trying to be the referee and Mourinho being sent to the stands?

As the OP pointed out it was Phil Jones who tackled with both feet leading not the West Ham player.

Mourinho is a kn0b. Courted the Man Utd job and then complained about living in a hotel in Manchester. WTF.

Needs a slap basically.

In the interests of fairness, yes the refereeing decisions made at the Palace Man Utd game were terrible, so much so, that both sides can feel extremely hard done by. He's right, there were any number of poor calls, that both sides can say changed the outcome of the game.

And, yes, those challenges should be red cards, even if referees have a tendency to see them as yellows. Rojo should have been sent off, and I think probably Feghouli should have gone as well - The problem is that the critics and pundits, will tend to call an issue a red one week, when its not given, and then call it harsh, the following week when it is given.

Its almost as if they're paid to talk about issues in the game, rather than the rules and regulations (which clearly many of them don't even remotely seem to understand).

Jamie

My view entirely.

And these are the ones who complain about a lack of "Consistency" !

To be fair to Gary Neville he did say yesterday that it is very difficult to get "Consistency" when referees have different angles of view etc etc.I would add that no incidents are identical in terms of the angle/height/ferocity of challenges etc etc etc.

I await with baited breath as to whether W.Ham will appeal the Feghouli 'Red' and if so whether it will be overturned. Will they overturn a decision whereby the player has left the ground two-footed and lunged in ?

Yes just been informed about this but thank you all the same.

Interested in the outcome given that referees were advised that a player who leaves the ground in such circumstances is not in control of his actions.

Admittedly the tackle wasn't high but both feet were off the ground prior to the contact.I wait the outcome with baited breath.

Let's hope they win, and then Willo will be left high and dry again.
Interesting that he defends the indefensible once again. I thought he only did that for C*ntenf*ck - not all refs. His description of the tackle was quite inaccurate and he did not mention the dying swan act by Jones that probably influenced Dean into giving a red card.
Let's say it again. Refs make mistakes, this was one, and - as all the tv pundits said too - it's near-impossible to see why Dean gave the red, even on the most generous interpretation.
