No-one was 'amazing' today, with the exception perhaps of Hennessey. Good to get our best players off before the end and rested before Swansea.

Well we usually win or do better we he goes off , so worth a try.
A full calendar year and Cabaye has only been on the pitch once at 90 minutes when Palace have won.

If he doesn't know all players in the first 3 leagues by the middle name and all their qualities, then he's no manager. Even I know all the players in the Premier League and the Championship and what foot they kick the ball with.

Why hire him and pay him millions if he doesn't know anything? You just wait for him to learn? Jeez, you could have gotten my 7 year old son and paid him waiting for him to learn

Sure you do...

Can I have some of what you are smoking??

I thought Townsend was playing for Arsenal...number of errors he made

This manager should be freakin' crucified (well, figuratively, of course)

He's worse than the last one. Didn't chabge a thing, still playing with Kelly and Ward (a right footed player) as wingbacks.

Townsend and Cabaye were amazing against Arsenal up to this minute (well, amazing for Palace's level). They're the ones who have run the most and covered the most ground. They can absolutely press and compete at this level. Cabaye in the center is essential. Benteke wouldn't press if Cabaye wouldn't give him the impulse.

You just can't, absolutely CAN'T, substitute one of those players when the team is pushing for agoal and getting back into the game.

You my friend are clueless.
We need to beat Swansea.

With the players fit Sam did OK , Wilf had a stinker yet again against a top 6 team, he just is not good enough against the class players , lost the ball so many times , his tricks dont work against the class teams.
But lets hope against Swansea he can do the magic.

Lol joke thread again. Townsend was awful again and Cabaye was taken off to rest for the Swansea game. We were never going to beat arsenal so try to be a bit more realistic.

Regarding the full backs, we don't hAve any others so it's Kelly and ward or no one.

He was all heart, both in offence and defence. Players sometimes make mistakes, especially when defending against top teams.
But the way he run back and defended......amazing! Kept Sanchez at bay as much as possible, considering that Sanchez had been on fire this season.
It's not Townsend's fault that the others didn't run as much or that Kelly is a slow, useless giant.

And he did well considering that he played as a right winger. I've always said that Townsend was a great left winger, but a poor right winger. And this is because he lacks technique. But today he turned Monreal inside out, even crossed with his right foot from running (and those were good crosses for Benteke). It's not easy when you're playing at Emirates to humiliate a defender like Monreal. Just compare what Townsend did today with what Zaha did on the other side and you'll see that he played well.

I do actually. I can name you over 100 players that would cost less than 10 million and would improve the Crystal Palace side this winter.

But you wouldn't understand anyway....

Agree totally, lost the ball on numerous occasions trying to beat players when a pass and move was the correct option. We were terrible today,Sam must be luckier than Alan,as a lot of those chances for Arsenal would have ended up in the back of the net under Pardew.

Yeah , real lucky when Giroud stuck a leg up and it flew in the top corner .
