Down to what the body can tolerate I guess and the way you are made. Also open to interpretation. Maybe fisher would have died of a heart attack even if she had never touched drugs. We will never know

Absolutely astonishing. That is what I thought when I saw that she made it to the Graham Norton studio. She looked extinguished on the show. Really quite sad.

We will never know Carrie Fisher certainly looked ill given recent TV interviews e.g. Graham Norton & Last Word. Just so sad that clearly departed though talented individuals such as Fisher and Michael clearly had inner demons that arguably won the day given the deep well of talent yet to be tapped into.

After hearing Carrie Fisher had suffered a heart attack a few days ago, I was so relieved to learn that she was able to make it to a hospital so quickly and really hoped she would be OK after receiving the attention she needed. But unfortunately, it wasn't to be, and yet another cultural icon has gone. For those of us who grew up watching Star Wars and will forever remember her as Princess Leia, today is a sad day. But nobody will feel more saddened at this time than her dear mother, who must be truly devastated.

"She wanted so to be tranquil, to be someone who took walks in the late-afternoon sun, listening to the birds and crickets and feeling the whole world breathe. Instead, she lived in her head like a madwoman locked in a tower, hearing the wind howling through her hair and waiting for someone to come and rescue her from feeling things so deeply that her bones burned. She had plenty of evidence that she had a good life. She just couldn’t feel the life she had. It was as though she had cancer of the perspective.” Postcards from the Edge by Carrie Fisher

Presumably, going home for Christmas but she didn't make it. Would it have been less stressful at another time of the year?

What is going on . Comes to something when one celeb dying knocks another celeb dying off the front pages. Crazy year When these people were born the amount of superstars known to the average person would have been about forty and only known through papers and magazines, in the early 1950s about 350,000 households had a television set so it's not hard to work out why, it is going to get worse especially with Simon Cowell giving us more and more of them, I expect next year to be worse and so on from now, simply because of the numbers of them.
