West Brom are currently 8th.

The best way for this team to win points is defence-first counter attacking football.

Selhurst needs to be rebuilt. Without money that's impossible. We needed the investors and they bring a new perspective with them. We could have remained one of the many smaller London clubs, jogging along in the Championship, going down sometimes, flirting with promotion sometimes. Like Fulham, QPR or (wash my mouth out) Charlton. We though have bigger ambitions than that and rightly so, given where we are located.

Like a West Brom or Sunderland ?

Bringing in Sam is hitting the prem panic button, of that there is no doubt but I'd rather yo-yo for a few seasons and keep a good football philosphy and keep a good focus on the youth

No one wants relegation but because of the money it's always only about the short term, staying up and getting the cash. That may be what the board want but is that what you as a fan are content with?

I want to see our club in the top league playing against some of the best teams in world. The championship is a graveyard of clubs who thought they would jump straight back....just look at Cardiff City.

I fail to see how playing in say the championship keeps a good focus on youth.....any decent young players will go to the bright lights of the prem league teams to be loaned back possibly on short term.

Thinking that relagation is a long term plan is an odd one.

But aren't West Brom better off cos they yo-yo'd for a few seasons?

Didn't do Burnley any harm either

Cardiff are a bad example, they are run by a rogue who dared to change the clubs colours

What tosh. There's no guarantee of getting straight back up again if we went down. Look at the clubs who've gone down the last few seasons and ask them where they'd rather be.

We are up now and it's imperative we stay up for as long as we can and if that means playing solid, pragmatic football under Big Sam rather than the chaos Parew was serving up then so be it, that'll do me just fine thank you.

If Cardiff are a bad example, how about these:
Leeds
Notts Forest
Derby
Fulham
Sheff Wednesday
Sheff Utd
QPR
Coventry
Barnsley
Bradford
Wolves
A. Villa
Blackburn
etc

All enjoying there time in the Championship or below, because there is no guarantee of a bounce back, it took us 7 years last time.
You are very misguided, Premiership is the only place to be.

2 out of about 20. Keep trying. A higher percentage than the few of you sulkers though it has to be said. 0.0001% of the fanbase ou must be now. Why don't you plan a boycott?

..I agree, should have kept Pardew and shot some of the players.

As you may be aware I have been pro Pardew and to give him time but to be fair to SP he did stick with AP for as long as possible and now we should get behind big Sam and we are quite fortunate in a way he was available he should get us tighter at the back and we know we can score so let's not get ahead of ourselves as to where we should be, being back in the championship is not really the best thing, we need to take the money and build on it anything else is going backwards.

The link you provided is evidence, that you want to avoid relegation at all costs, as it sends the majority of teams into the abyss.
For some strange reason you want to see Palace there!
