Parchmore I am in agreement. We had a big disagreement end of last season. Can't remember when, maybe you can. I knew Pardew would more than likely f*** it up but we had to either sack him in May or give him a quarter of this season. Some wanted to give him till Christmas so most are satisfied.

What Parish shouldn't have done is extended for 5 years. At least they acted 3 weeks ago and had this pretty much agreed so it was only a day without a manager. The negotiations were just for show.

Now all of the fans know or accept it was right apart from inapardewpickle and braunstone and about 4 other fans out of 35,000 and more.

Yes I vaguely remember some argument - but I can be a t*** too sometimes! Thanks for the post and have a happy Christmas and a "Top Ten New Year"!

Well said and totally agree.
Pardew was the author of his own misfortune and had no option other than to fall on his own sword.
Our new Messiah, Sam, will lead us to higher places than failure Pards could ever imagine.

Christmas Cheers Mate!

You really need to stop digging out posters who you disagree with. You appear to be stalking Inapickle, and dig me and others out too. You may be happy with the status quo, but others are not. You would not accept Pardew, while others were willing to give him time. A difference of opinion. But you continually spit bile at their opinions. What is your problem? Why can't you accept that others have differing opinions?

You wouldn't be talking like that to many Palace fans for long where I'm from.

You what?

Inapickle, the man who can't stop objecting to every few posts who are optimistic with a new manager, a manager who hasn't taken us on the worst 12 month run in the club's history and the whole country.

And as for your condescending tone pre Pardew sacking, now getting holier than thou? Pfffft, yeah right pal.

And for the record, Pardew had more time. Didn't go too well did it?

And I have drunk, known and met people in and where you're from and I don't tend to meet people as condescending as you. And anyway, the majority wanted him out so few disagree, apart from, as I said, about 6 of you left.

Originally posted by ParchmoreEagle You know, honestly, I really wanted Pardew to succeed. But what a prize w@nker? How he managed to get himself sacked with this squad, Parish as an owner, our supporters, a five year contract, millions to spend on players, and a great club where he could feel loved and at home... But oh no... Mr. Genius... Even with our current form how many points did he throw away, needlessly, in the final minutes because of his silliness? He's got no one to blame but himself.... couldn't learn a thing from the Newcastle experience and let's face it, they were dead right about him. Now Fat Sam is laughing. And so he should laugh. Everyone and everything that mattered were completely behind Pardew...and he stuffed it up. I'm genuinely sorry he didn't have the brains to stay. What a prize tw@t.

You've summed it all up perfectly. Well done!

Id rather not. Cant get excited with a bloke whos win percentage at every one of his last 5 clubs has hovvered around 30%. Still i always said i trust SP to do right by us so...

I'd say a 30% win rate would do OK for us. If coupled with 30% draws or a little less too that makes for certain and comfortable survival. We then buy & sell sensibly in the summer and it looks promising.

And which clubs were they, pray tell? Chelsea? Man City? Were these clubs at the top or the bottom of the table? Were their percentage rates higher or lower than this 'paltry' 30% you so disdain? What is CPFC's current percentage under 'Super AL'? Was it 'exciting'????
