I am guessing...but the only reason we know about Allardyce's indiscretions is because he was England manager when they happened.

And the word integrity is interesting.
How many managers lie every week in press conferences about referee decisions etc.

As others have said...integrity is not a very common thing in professional sport.

And I would guess that if we are anywhere above 15th place in May...you wont find many on here saying I would rather have gone down with a manager that has not had his laundry aired in the national press.

There are all sorts of stories coming out about player revolts, the team being disillusioned with tactics and general poor man management. He'd lost the dressing room.

Interesting, got any links to any of these stories? It didn't look like he'd lost the dressing room on the pitch, we just weren't playing that well. (I was in favour of getting BSA FYI)

This moralistic stance is ridiculous. Football, integrity and morals parted company many years ago.
Its all about money now, if we don't employ Sam somebody else struggling will.

100%
If we didn't get him...and appointed someone who plays "attractive football"...we would spend our summer hols saying "we missed t a trick there" while Swansea or Burnley cashed another fat premier league TV cheque

What makes us any more of these things than anyone else?

He was a plonker but committed no crime. With Parish's expertise on branding he wouldn't dream of employing him if he was in genuine hot water. He ran a mile from Malkie. Too embarrassing for the FA to support him but not guilty of anything illegal as far as I can see. I'm easy with our integrity.

Some people would be happy with the appt of Harold Shipman as club Doctor if he kept injuries down.

Probably best to keep him away from the older players like Damo and Jools!

Oh come on, lets not be naive, Sam made an error of judgement and was entrapped by slime ball reporter, not saying he was not a bit simple by being sucked in to the con but lets be honest how many others would not have been tempted. To be fair he has been proven to be quality Manager at keeping clubs in PL when they in deep trouble, lets be grateful SP has sorted this out before the transfer window is open and what a great Christmas gift, by golly we needed it. Its now time to stop all this negative comment and get behind our team and its manager!
