I am so pleased that thanks to Nige and Donnie nobody trusts experts any more.

I look forward to that extending to visits to the Doctor, Financial Advisors etc. In this day and age nobody knows anything so we can ignore them. Back to cerebral hygiene.

You mean you trusted those people?

Thing is that Doctors etc come from the same class of arrogant University types who tell you you are stupid for voting Brexit. You know, the sort who are in a job five minutes and think they should be running the place.

If you don't question everything, you put your life entirely in the hands of others. Not a good idea.

I mean, you are a teacher. Need I say more.

I question things I just don't catastrophise then find someone to shift blame to.

You've intimated that all doctors are arrogant because they went to university. Really?

Do point me to the bit where I said that.

Their 1984 Band Aid prediction that "there won't be snow in Africa this Christmastime" has once again been proven wrong -- and this time in spectacular fashion.

Is this Viz?

Pretty sure there has always been snow on mount Kilamanjaro, all year round. Which is threatened by global... ah no, that doesn't exist does it?

These comments are usually made by someone with a vested interest. It's just a natural cycle. Go away and try to justify your existence somewhere else.

Who are these people with a vested interest? On the side of climate change advocates, at least? I've never understood that part of the counter argument.

Or to put it another way, the oil/gas/coal industry completely dwarf the renewable energy industry. By a massive margin. So why then, despite those industries subsidising scientific research (to presumably prove/disprove) is there such a massive (consistently over 90%) number of scientists who back the man-made climate change theory? What do they have to gain from it?

Climate change may or may not be attributed to greenhouse gases or human causes, or may or may not be attributed to an earth cycle lasting a millennia. Or it could be a combination of both.

For every expert on one side of the argument there is another with a differing opinion on the other side.

Actions against Greenhouse gases, however, are worthwhile actions, regardless of this argument and we should do our part. It's our Planet, we should use it responsibly.

I'm off to hug a tree.

There isn't, it's just made to seem that way. Isn't something a bit skewed when over 90% ish of scientists researching this have said it's real, but the rest who say it's bollocks get as much (if not more on some channels and in some newspapers) coverage from the msm.
Anyone cynical enough might think that some who run the media have vested interests in maintaining the status quo, easy money but at a huge ecological cost.

You do realise that many of the biggest ideas in science were condemned as potty by the majority of scientists until the evidence was incontrovertible.

And you do realise that as late as the 1970's, many mainstream scientists thought we were heading back into another ice age.
