Have to agree about the atmosphere in the stadium, my first time back since the West Ham match. It was very flat and subdued, no one seemed interested in joining in at any time and were resigned to our fate. Understandable I suppose with current form.

1/ the thought of selling Wilf next month
2/ the thought this is Pardew's good half a season.

I know what the OP means though. Our midfield looks tidy and we carry plenty of threat. The challenge is to drill our defence into a cohesive unit that's better than the sum of its parts that concentrates for 95 minutes. Stranger things have happened.

But I still want him out.

He has to stay through to Swansea. After that game if we have not got at least 4 points from those 3 games it will be the end.
But ....... I was there for the Chelsea game.

* Pardew chose the right side
* The players gave it their all
* Chelsea are good make no mistake, explosive skill let's be honest.
* Remember our left back is out for the season, our only other quality striker Wickham is out, Remy has been absent. Finally Tomkins has an injury.
* Just who on earth would we replace Pards with. ?
* We played well against Chelsea.

So difficult to back Pards up at the moment.
He is so so close, 4 points or he will struggle to keep his job. If this happens it will be a very sad day.

Surely, we should be aware of it but not constrained by it.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.
