Don't want anyone from Spurs. It's bound to be part of some Wilf deal which none of us want.

Here we go again, same old, same old, Every time a transfer window opens we are linked with these type of players. By that, I mean one's who can't even get in the team's they are with. Also Gedsted ( spelling )did not exactly set the Prem alight when he was in it with Villa. Whoever puts these stories out well.............And if Palace have put feelers out and the press have got hold of it, what did Parish say a year or so ago. He said we need more ambition.

To be fair, that's pretty much the only players that would even give us a second glance; we're the PL circus act.

Ben Davies would be a very good signing, he plays left back for Spurs but for Wales as a centre back and is very impressive.

Gestede is awful.

How much money do we lose if we go down next year? And remember we may not get back up for 2 or more seasons so multiply that. We need to buy ourselves out of this freefall come January with Q.U.A.L.I.T.Y players in forward, midfield and defensive positions. I'd spend as much as we could afford. We're close as a top team, scoring at will almost, with the defense to fix. It would be a shame to buy ordinary players who possibly won't cut it. Looking back at who we've bought on the cheap - it really has cost us hasn't it? Buy quality - it will save us money.

Gestede is a no from me - Frazey Campbell is way better than him!

i dont rate gestede at all for a PL club, with that in mind, thats a bold statement youve made there and hes still better than campbell

Totally agree. Buy quality that can help us, if we go down it's not like they'll want to stay anyway. Put bids in for the best players that can't get starting time at the top teams (and THEN a couple of cheaper young prospects from the Championship for cover). We should have the money to spend.

We shouldn't end the window with filler like Kewsi Appiah (wherever he went) on our 25 man squad list. If we sell Mutch and Pape and Wickham had not be on the list there will be several spots to fill.

Spot on. This window is a huge test for the owners in terms of their ambition. We are going to need quality at the back, at least 2 new signings and a new centre forward. Fringe players won't cut it this time nor the idea that we have enough in the tank already to get us over the line like this Jan. Our total spend in the summer was £10 million we will need to spend more in my opinion. I think they realise this and will do everything to get some quality in this time.

In relation to Gestede Guardian reporting that there might be the potential of Mutch going in the opposite direction to Villa and that Boro are also looking at him :

Davies would be a good move.

Gestede, I guess (and this is being kind) you could at least say he fits our system more than Campbell? If Wilf can get him the service?

I also think it maybe does make sense if it's a case of trading one squad player (Mutch) from an area we've got more cover in, to bring in extra cover in an area we're a bit short.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

I'd like to see us sign

John obi Mikel as our Jedi upgrade as he's not been replaced. Rumoured to be heading to Marseille but they want flaming and at 29 on a free I think would be a useful addition.

Next would be schlup from Leicester as a wife left player either lb or lm would give us much more balance.

Lastly Defoe to play off benteke I think gestede would be a waste of time what's needed is a good smaller striker (Gayle) 🙈 Dare I say it.

Be good if we could get Jaap Stam in to run the show aswell!!

Tell us, which clubs are going to sell their best players to us( by definition they would be quality )?
If we buy top quality players in January, none would sign for less than a 3 year deal on big wages, no chance of a clause to drop wages if we are relegated, its a players market.
It wont happen, as Parish will not jeopardise our long term future as Goldberg did, signing players on silly contracts, which broke the club.
Expect loan signings only, as squad players.

Parish already has got players on long contracts and big wages without relegation clauses but because he's sticking with pathetic Pardew you're now saying he can't do that any more.

Marvellous. If we don't sign a few at least very good proven prem players we're f&cked with Pardew.
