Yet another party political broadcast from brother Gusset. Shame on you for making this about the Tories. This is all about what it is to be human and stupid. Do you remember back in the day when most people didn't even know what a Muslim was? No, and if there was, I think its suffice to say that those people probably were impressively and deliberately ignorant f**kwitts.

It is an absurdity to hate Muslims. The anger should be directed toward the people who indoctrinate with dangerous radical religious nonsense and those who allowed far too Muslim immigrants here in such a short time. It was bound to create friction with the world as it is. People cannot be trusted to behave in a rational manner.

Well in fairness they haven't stabbed anyone that I know of, or murdered a MP. Which is correct. But the left should shoulder the blame. Their presence created these animals. Whenever a Muslim commits a crime, they stay silent and don't bother condemning them. Other way around and they're up in arms. Edited by Alexi_the_Eagle (12 Dec 2016 4.37pm)

Before Muslims became a pejorative word we had the positive 'Mujaheedin' and before that 'P@kis' taking the verbal flak for a certain breed. Muslim was not in the general vocabulary in the 70's and 80's. 'Islamic Fundamentalism' was due to Khomenii but 'muslim' was hardly ever used.

I was using a bit of hyperbole but older generations in large part would only have thought of Muslims as people you saw in films or not thought of them at all. Only the more cosmopolitan might have had personal experience. Your assertion is a little revisionist.

The May's britain part was tongue in cheek. I do think you can blame the vernacular around Brexit for allowing some buffoons to come out of the racist closet. People like this, are just violent nasty c**ts or seriously disturbed individuals, if they weren't going to be stabbing muslims, they'd be stabbing someone else. The racial vernacular, just really is a way of justifying it to themselves. Without that vernacular, they'd be blaming it on something else.

I think its more a case that people weren't paranoid about Muslims. Its probably one, if not the, largest religion in the world. First contact for me, was the Crusades, in primary school. And I grew up in a very white town, with very little in the way of ethnic diversity until more recent times. I don't think people know that much now, truth be told.

I'd accept that, if they'd never heard of the Crusades, the British Empire or commonwealth. Now I do know people who probably do fit into that category of not 'knowing' but I suspect that's more to their 'attention in school and a general disdain for books'. F**k me, they must have seen Carry on Up the Kyber etc...
