You are not engaging into the spirit really. Take Casual's attitude and enjoy us scoring goals for the first time in years.

There are NO teams in this league that we SHOULD be beating by the way.

I expect us to be beating more of them over a run of 6-8 of them FFS. We are failing at that because of being disorganised, issues with focus, fitness, cohesion, instructions before and during games. Certain things unexplained to subs. Throw in chancing it with no left back cover, only 6 defenders likely to ever start and more loans/free agents without any recent full fitness or half decent fitness record and barely able to 3 mins and you have serious problems.

Apart from that it's going great and we don't have to look over our shoulder as we let 18th place swallow us up.

The problem is we are not beating teams that we should be beating. It therefore puts pressure on us to gain points against the bigger sides, which at the moment we look incapable of doing. I suppose after Saturday we will know a lot more.

You know, it does mean that we now need results against teams like Chelsea and United... but this is Palace, after all. Just to show how obtuse we are, I fully expect us to get some kind of result against one of these teams. This is set up perfectly for us - we play terribly against teams like Swansea and Hull, only to put a scowl on Mourinho's face mid-week.

Every week we see that there are no 'givens' in this league. Yeah we weren't great, a couple of decisions never went our way, but we still came away with something.
I'll take that.

I have to agree with that, in isolation a couple of the results aren't that bad but there comes a point where you say it is more of a fundamental problem.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

This. Now I have seen the game I think some of the criticism aimed at the team & manager is unfounded. Yes we didn't defend their third well but their second was a piece of great forward play. Their first doesn't need talking about & with Snodgrass red carded (which he should have been) the game could've been completely different. Add to that the other blatant penalty not awarded & the whole situation has a different complexion.

Ordinarily I'd laugh at the excuses we've heard but I thought we were really up against it Saturday with the poor officiating. I know when I played Sunday league you could get the feeling that no matter what you did you were on a hiding to nothing when most things are going against you - I guess there could be some of that at pro level too.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

I expected us to get beat if i am honest. So a point is a bonus. But we didnt play well, Hull dominated most of the first half after a bright start from us. We seemed to bottle it when they attacked us. We cannot seem to sustain anything for very long and the players looked panicked at times. Now for United and Chelsea this will tell us how we are as a team.

No givens over 1 game, fine.

No givens over an 11 month period apart from playing poor Norwich, Mboro, Sunderland, or poor on the day Southampton or very sh1t at the time Stoke, however?

Nah it's all good. We're in good shape letting in 3,4,5 goals to bottom teams and then relying on beating the richest teams in the world. Pardew has it all under control. I was thinking exactly that when the Hull player walked through 3 of our players. Cabaye and his supposedly more reliable at defending Ledley and then Dann. And then at 3-2 down after being 2-1 up I was not concerned in the slightest that the ginger player would put that cross he was inches away from in our goal to make it 4-2. Pardew has it all under control. Whoever scores 2 in a row before the whistle wins and the players take defensive drills and training after 6 losses on the spin. I am confident in Super Al and the Americans or we don't know anything.

Fair points. Although I'd have probably taken 4 points from Southampton, hull, Man Utd and Chelsea.
Over the years we would be facing Bolton, Preston etc in the next 2 games. I'll enjoy full houses against the dirty mancs and Chelsea , if we lose them both he will be closer to going, if we win will be blinding.
Oh and it's nearly Christmas. Enjoy.
Cheers Cucking. Mochas Gracias.

Only the top four have scored more goals than us. We need to sort our defence out and this requires a huge amount of work, we are really poor.
