I thought the third goal was horrendous. We let an average player like Livermore dance through our defence like Lionel Messi. In January i would replace all of our defenders because they are pants

It wasn't the formation of the team that were at fault for Hull's second and third goals - just some really poor defending - Hull strolled through.

The players need to take responsibility. Shouting instructions
from the technical area will not stop them making such basic errors. I think Dann as captain needs to stand up and take control during the game - he's not been the same since coming back from his injury layoff. Otherwise let McArthur try a stint as captain. We also need more quality in January to at least put pressure on for a starting place.

Jimmy mac coming off seemed to change the whole dynamic of our team yesterday. Cabaye is a different style of player, Hulls second goal wouldn't have happened if jimmy mac had been on, he'd have been there. We will have to see what happens Wednesday. Watching united this afternoon we could be in for a long night!

It's no surprise that their 2 goals were down our left. A lef back is needed asap

I believe the fact remains that if we keep shipping goals as we have been doing until the end of the season we will find ourselves in the Championship.
Get back to basics I say !

This with bells on .

Opponents have sussed that we are venerable ,crap and all round useless down our left. Anything coming down that side sees our defence pulled out of shape as we try to compensate . The Livermore goal yesterday was a prime example as Hull overloaded on that side, Dann was pulled to the left leaving a big hole that nobody filled ...

I will be a lot happier when we get a decent lb in January which we surely must

The value of players such as Jedinak and Derry is that, though not gifted players themselves, they brought out 110 per cent in teammates . This more than compensated for their own deficiencies.

One particular concern is that Kelly seems to have zero appetite for the fray. He doesn't seem to enjoy the challenge of pitting his skills against some of the best forwards in football. He's fairly quick and heads the ball well. He is also a reasonable crosser of the ball. But some of his tackling, especially sideways, is as thin a tissue paper and he can't short-pass his way way out of tight situations. If he could a bit more zeal and enthusiasm into his game, he might improve. A bit of work on his psyche is required.

Yesterday I thought we nicked a point away from home.

I remember not so long ago we stuggled to take anything from games as we couldn't score. Days when Scott Dann was talked up for England and folks on here were clamouring for him to be made captain.

It's afunny old game

Considering how many goals he has let in since his recall, it may seem eccentric to single out Wayne Hennessy for . . . praise.

But in my view he is much improved since last season. Although they were not featured in MOTD, he made a couple of really smart stops in the second half v Hull.

Had they gone in, the score could have been 4-2 or even 5-2.

For a big lad, he's pretty good at getting down to daisy cutters.

Here's hoping he's in ace form for what is likely to be a busy Wednesday night.

COYP.
