I certainly don't ever want Palace to lose and it's not about being 'anti-Pardew', it's about being anti appalling runs of form, anti lacking the ability to set teams up well, having a workable game plan and being able to close out games to get results. If Pardew demonstrates he can do all of that, on a consistent basis, there won't be any detractors.

Totally understand your point of view.

I do believe however that in the main the 'Anti-Pardew' faction have entrenched views, can never see him being a 'Positive' and want his head on a platter as soon as possible.

They can hardly be blamed can they? We've had almost a year of his nonsense in the league and, even if he extracts his digit for the rest of this season, you just never know when the next run of bad form is coming. If he can put a stop to his boom-and-bust record then no one will be complaining, but that's a very big IF.

Same here.

I thought Pardew was brilliant until I started to notice from Jan 2016 the fundamentals lower half managers need to do, he doesn't or can't.

Well, not on an extended basis. Consistency is more important to success in this league than flashes of brilliance followed by a complete crock.

I do believe some fans are getting Crystal Palace FC mixed up with Bayern Munchen or Arsenal or Real Madrid with their demands.

You continually refer to the "anti Pardew" faction as if you were not one of them.

If you are not "anti Pardew" what is it about his record that makes you so "pro Pardew"

I've always tried to stay on the fence with Pards and back him. Obviously it's good the players had a chat and helped change things and practice set pieces etc.

But oh my does that mean for the last few months they haven't been doing drills on the one aspect we're weak at.

Honestly somewhat shocking. Sounds like Sunday league football?

I want the team and Pards to be a success, really want us to kick on. But this revelation has dumbfounded me.

What do they do in training if it wasn't the things they got wrong the week before? Bonkers.

But moving forward I'll support the team and manager if they have now taken their collective head out the sand and are focused on defensive duties etc. COYP

You have noticed this as well! Regardless of all the nonsense that is posted on here by some, we have never been in the bottom 3 in 2016, which used to be our usual position in previous seasons, when we got promoted to the Premier.
Parish didn't go on radio to back Pardew, he was answering a question put to him, what do people expect him to say!
