I don't think he's good enough. He's not Howe (who has a real vision for a small club), he's not Pulis (who I despise as a man, and dislike as a manager but he knows his limitations - outside of court). He's no Koeman. Even Dyche and Mazzarri seem to have a clearer idea of what it takes to survive in the Premiership. And yet Pardew thinks he is. At West Ham, Southampton and Newcastle the same thing has happened. He has a Plan A and that's it. And time and time again it fails. He gets a burst of success and then falls into a slump, Slumps, historically he is unable to find a way out of. His reaction after Swansea was, 'As a manager, I'm used to it.' Well F*** YOU! I don't think there is any other manager in the Premiership who is used to a prolonged run of losses. I never wanted him in and nothing he's done since has convinces me otherwise. Especially as the next slump might see us relegated. But if we then lose to Man U I was right. I am back for Chelsea , so if we get a point I was wrong . Lose to Watford I was right etc , etc , etc.

Ask Everton fans what they think of Koeman He left Newcastle in 10th place, hardly a disaster. Were you not even convinced albeit temporarily when we finished 10th that he could be the man?

Everything about him says he is Palace. Inconsistent, frustrating, joyous occasionally, money problems, yo-yo career, good at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, a bit of flair, needs a makeover and you know he is gonna end up in The Championship in the not too distant future. We are a perfect fit. I'd only have a problem with him if he shagged my wife. If. He hasn't already.

At Newcastle his derby record against Sunderland was the worst since 1892. In the 2013/14 season he lost 15 out of 21 games. Hardly a success. No. As I said. I have NEVER rated him as good enough for the top league. You can't take a snap shot and use that as proof of anything. Look at the trend/his record. He's never been good enough. I want Pardew to stay and succeed, but last season he convinced me that he's not an able manager - but I have my fingers crossed that I am wrong about that. If you think about the 3-0 win against Southampton, what did it prove? It proved that the team is really capable of performing well. Pardew had to have his neck on the block before he made the necessary changes, listened to others instead of himself, and allowed the team to get its result. Great, we probably won't go down now, but Pardew is still Pardew and when this heat if off him it's reasonable to expect he'll be up to his usual methods in the near future. I don't think it's a good thing to have to drag a manager kicking and screaming to what's required to get a victory. He will probably be ok this season, but I think we can get better, not for top 5 finishes but top ten. But I truly hope he makes me eat my words and I have to post that I was wrong! Honest!

Honest! fair comment parch more. i was amazed to see Kelly start at left back for for so many games. and yet... 2 years with the same manager seems like an improvement. we really need to build a squad and infrastructure - that doesn't happen when you're chopping and changing managers.
