Incorrect, Cabaye started the Sunderland match which we won 3-2. I think it is that he's not finished the full 90 minutes where we've won this season or something like that. Didn't play in the wins against Middlesborough or Stoke, suspended for Southampton and didn't finish the game against Sunderland. Cabaye also started against Bournemouth where we got a point.

As posted previously about Cabaye not being on pitch at end of a Palace win :- We beat Stoke last December when he was suspended. He did not feature against 'Boro or Stoke , and went off before we staged the comeback against Sunderland. Now we can add the Southampton to the list. Cabaye rarely finished 90 minutes last year, he seemed to have a lot of injuries. We also did lose a lot of points due to Cabaye going off in games last season. It's a little misleading to only use the lack of wins with him on the pitch at the end of the game and not take into account the scorelines when he's come off etc. He did come on in the West Ham game and was a considerable improvement to Ledley who he replaced. At the moment you'd start Ledley but both he and Cabaye haven't really excelled this season and it is a position I'd like to see strengthened. I don't see either as having the right mix to play in the defensive midfield role.

McArthur is the key here Yeah, he's either excellent or merely good. As for Cabaye, I just wish he could stop yapping to the ref for five minutes. It must antagonise the ref and detract from his own concentration.

I think it is a little bit more misleading to make out he has significant positive impact on games that we lose. West Ham , came on and made us better ? Our What games did we lose due to him coming off ?

I distinctly remember a trend from last season where we ended up losing points when Cabaye (or incidently McArthur) was subbed off, I'm not going to go trawling through the results to back that up. I was just pointing out that no one had shown all the facts so it is unfair to simply disregard a player on one selected stat.

i love it how people love to make out ledleys a better option than cabaye...i bet even ledley himself wouldnt be stupid enough to think that. i love ledders to bits but hes no cabaye. nowhere near as good. shouldnt we be talking about a decent defensive display rather than digging out our most technically gifted player?

Well if as you say,and I take your word, that he is our most technically gifted player it would be nice to see it. I can only remember a good cross for Bolasie last season that he headed in against West Brom. Anyhow sometimes it takes a while to settle in. Let's hope he improves.COYP.
