Hopefully this result today will make you Palace fans realise what a great manager you have. Your expectations are far too high and you all should be delighted with what Pardew has done with your club since taking over. He's kept you in the Premiership for a couple of years and has got you to the cup final.

Pardew will take you far. Look at his record.

Have you looked at the other clubs who are into their 4th season?

Palace fans need to realise that they aren't going to win every week and to stop expecting Champions league football. You lot have a great manager who got you to the cup final last season and has kept you up for the last 2 seasons. You are all being deluded by wanting Pardew sacked.

Rectiloquism. Who exactly here expects CL football? I can't think of anyone at all offhand. Personally I think avoiding a squeaky bottom in the Spring is a reasonable expectation and one point per game is distinctly squeaky.

One swallow does not make a summer - as others have said.
It is one win - a nice result.
We looked better than in previous games and it will give the players a huge boost of confidence which is great news.
Southampton weren't up to much though if we are honest - thankfully.
Cabaye would have played had he not been suspended - we look better and more solid without him I'm afraid.
So AP's hand was forced.
No Kelly helped as well but Tomkins as a replacement for Delaney is a no no - DD was man of the match for me and needs to stay in the side - let's see what AP does because if he can't see that then blind arrogance will be his undoing.
A good result - many posters smiling and a stay of execution for the Manager whose comments about investors with lack of knowledge beggars belief - if I were them I would have his head for that alone!!

Indeed. That comment was clearly intended to keep Parish on side and cause a division between him and the US owners. It sounds like Pardew had a bollocking and a half from Harris and Blitzer recently and he doesn't like it, does he? That comment was a prime example of Pardew's complete lack of professionalism.

Your comment makes zero sense. In response to the part I could decipher none of what I wrote is false its all fact. But the Pardew haters cant handle the truth.

I haven't been on here due to the Anti-Pawdew stance Holmesdale.net overall has taken. Yes the stats are bad, but sometimes you need to back your manager. I am solely happy if we remain a premier league outfit.

Yesterday Was a great set up. 4-5-1 that changed to 3-5-2 on attack. Tomkins isn't a right back obviously, but when attacking having Dann in the centre of Delaney and Tomkins with Ward pushing up more and Townsend/Zaha taking up a more central role killed Southampton's possession play. Everyone played well yesterday, so did Sako when he came on. Great all round performance. Another 3 points against Hull please.

I thought Sako did well when he came on too. He looked excellent when he first came, but went to pot after coming back from an injury. He looked fitter and more athletic yesterday and made a couple of good runs. Don't know what he'd be like over 90 minutes though.

The reason the defence played better this week is because AP 'let them have more of a say in training' and they wanted to do more work on defending. If at last he starts listening to other peoples input and not be so pig-headed, he may be OK.

Was also good to see Flamini come on. He actually looked not to bad too, shouting and organising things for the short time he was on.
