'f**k the individuals'. What a fantastic mindset to have towards a group of players/staff who have given us Palace fans so many memorable moments over the past 5 or so seasons, with Wilf being involved in the majority.

Are you suggesting that you begrudged Wilf a move from Crystal Palace to Manchester United? I was as disappointed as anyone to see him leave, but I didn't blame him for a second.

Pardew won't be offered a job at a top four club, he isn't in the same league as Conte, Klopp etc. But if he was offered a top job whilst at Palace it would be directly linked to being successful at Palace. Would that be such a bad thing?

So if Pardew was good enough to be top four he would leave? He's not currently good enough to manage us, so why would we be showing him loyalty?

Pretty much the only loyalty in football is from fans. The very occasional player (eg Gerrard, Le Tissier) stays at a club for their whole career, but 99.9% of players, managers and coaches would jump ship in a heartbeat if a better offer came along.

Let's not forget Pardew touting himself for the England job when things were going well, or our "hero" Dougie f*cking off to Bolton when he thought they were a better prospect than Palace.

To me loyalty to a club means wanting what's best for it, not blindly following a leader when they've clearly lost the plot. It's in the best interests of CPFC if Pardew goes (unless he oversees an immediate and unlikely change of fortunes) and it's not disloyal to make that known to the decision makers at the club.

Precisely.

With his appalling record over the last 11 months (the FA cup is meaningless unless you win it, and Pardew wasn't entirely blameless in failing in that), and his complete inability to admit his mistakes and make the necessary changes, it's beyond credibility that anyone still thinks Pardew is the answer to anything other than 'who should we sack immediately'.

Gerard wanted to go Chelsea and held talks . The death threats against his family stopped him going.

I support Zaha when he plays for us, but if we were relegated he would be off, as would the rest.

Doesn't alter my main point about loyalty in general.

Why did Pardew take so long to actually sign his new contract . I cannot remember when it was first offered to him , but I seem to recall a long delay in him actually signing as it was discussed that it should be withdrawn on here.
What was he doing ? Was he waiting for a better offer from elsewhere, or did he require more money to show loyalty?

He claimed at the time he wouldn't sign it until we were safe.

I am loyal to CPFC and have been since as long as I knew anything about supporting a football club - so over 50 years - unwavering!
Loyalty to Alan Pardew - why?
He draws a huge salary and is paid to do a job which he has done very badly for nearly a year with no sign of change - even a win tomorrow can't disguise that fact.
If you had a Builder doing shoddy work at your house week after week would you still be loyal to him and pay him for that shoddy work week after week - no you would not!
I want CPFC to do well and they will do so after Pardew and that moment can't come soon enough for this poster!

Also re Gerrard, its not as if he was at a small club - yes he could have won more if he moved but real loyalty is more like the other example, Le Tissier, and even that is probably more down to comfort and security.

I know that we are a small club, but how do you become a big club without going through these transitions? The fact is is that this is the best we've ever been, and to throw away this opportunity for someone who is an arrogant w***er. I was supporting Pardew until I went and witnessed that catastrophe at the Liberty Stadium. The players clearly don't listen to Pardew, as they're all competent players.

Starting with the Norwich season opener for 2015/2016 thru to last Saturday against Swansea the Palace stats are as follows taking into account ALL games against Premier League opposition only.

P47 W14 D8 L25. So if you use the same scoring system as the PL that makes a total of 50 pts. Not brilliant but then again more points gained than games played which is not relegation form either.

Consider where we were when Pardew took over and the fact we have much better players now then then I don't feel he deserves the sack, yet!

I was pilloried on here not so long ago when I stated that Pardew would be given time to revive our fortunes and that he would be in situ for Swansea and beyond even if we lost the 'Swans' game.I happen to believe he will still be in charge for Hull even if we suffer a defeat tomorrow.
