Would really like to see DD back in - should improve set piece defending.

AP will have to make some changes with CW out for the rest of the season.. good luck Connor for a speedy recovery.. and YC suspended after getting a poor booking at Swansea.. still don't understand why he was booked and the two defenders obstructing him weren't even spoken to.. feel AP needs to bring in Delaney to organise the back four and Flamini to sit in front of them and organise the rest..

It will be the wrong move.Fryers or a left footed player at Left Back.
Ward not so good on the left.
Keep it simple.

I'd play Fryers as he cant do any worse than Kelly. I feel sorry for Kelly playing out of position but his confidence looks shot - at least Fryers can get forward and his defending certainly cant be worse than Kelly at the moment.

Incidentally, why did we bother to play Fryers in the friendlies? He did okay and we are crying out for cover at that role - he must be seriously bad in training.

This is where AP lets himself down.He does not pick Fryers from the start.
We go behind by up to two goals then we bring Zeki on and take Kelly off.
Sunderland Win, Swansea lose.
Two examples

Let's see if Tomkins plays RB and Ward LB or 3-4-3 instead. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

I would be more inclined to see a 4-1-4-1 formation with a defensive midfielder like Ledley and Flamini helping give cover to Fryers and Kelly.

Do you mean Fryers OR Kelly we do not want both in the 11.?

I would hope that Fryers starts, but the way Pardew is I know Kelly will start at LB. Basically what I was trying to say in the 4-1-4-1 formation is our defensive midfielder would give cover to whomever starts at LB in open play and can only help on set pieces.

Could you imagine a 3-4-3? I think it could suit us really well. We need to win, I couldn't care less about a clean sheet, as long as we won.

Hennessy
Tomkins-Dann-Delaney
Ward - McArthur - Ledley/Puncheon - Fryers
Zaha - Benteke - Townsend

The players would take time to get used to that formation - would be a huge unnecessary risk

That's what you have training sessions for which, given our performances must be alien to him.

Bring back Brolin
