All this talk of the record in 2016 is ridiculous. Titles and relegation are decided on results over a season not a calendar year. Leicester are probably one of the best teams over the calendar year yet they are down near relegation. Chelsea are top of the league and have had an awful overall year. Lets not twist things Pardew has not had a single season you can call a bad season overall.

Furthermore is there any manager that could come in and do a better job? The buffoon Allardyce? Jurgen Klinsmann? Bitches please. We sack Pardew and we go down just like what happened to Newcastle when they got ideas above their station. Pardew should be given til at least end of this year.

Alan,
It's good of you to come on here. Really it is....BUT and it's a big BUT - shouldn't you be concentrating on getting the defenders to defend set pieces or dusting down the old CV and interview jacket?

You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name.

Ok let's just take this season then. We have won 3 games, lost the last 6 on the trot. Sit in 17th place. Shipping goals for fun. The team has no confidence whatsoever. We have just lost to the bottom club, letting in 5 goals in the process, after fighting back to take the lead with 6 mins to go. All this with what is arguably the best team we've ever had.

Not a bad season so far??.define bad.

To be fair he makes some good and true points

Pardew season 1: Achieved a top half finish ( after being in a dire position). Season 2: Reached the FA Cup final and kept us up.

Season 3: We're only a 3rd of the way through the season.

I don't think any of the above can be denied and I share his concerns over the managers being touted

But as much as I hate the constant one in 30 odd games, 2016 record etc which as the OP stated is not really relevant, unfortunately at some stage you need to look at a run of form/results ( contradiction I know) over a period of time and question whether he can turn around the results and tactics and how long you give someone to do that

If that time is not now, then I would suggest it is very soon

In the last 11 months we've only beaten Stoke twice (who we always beat), Norwich (who went down), 'Boro who had just come up and we just beat a Sunderland team having their worst ever start. It doesn't read well.

Pardew's been good for our club overall, but right now he's lost the plot. The defence is getting worse and worse, and when you concede 5 against Swansea you know something's totally broken.

Still, if we end up with (and this is a long shot) 18 points from our next six games, I'll come back on here and admit that you were right.

Porkair, please taxi to threshold 27 Romeo and await clearance for take-off, over.

It really does come down to this one goal when you really think about it. No other manager gets a break and would be gone if not for that and people really want to ignore this fact.

Not quite sure what a goal 26 years ago has to do with 2 mid tables and a cup final though I'm sure that some will give him that loyalty

Others might just think that's pretty bloody good for palace and accept that , but as I said earlier there is only so long you can give someone

Season 1 - Pardew inherited a decent side with good team spirit and finished 10th.

Season 2 - Pardew started putting his stamp on the team and we went backwards by finishing 15th. OK we got to a cup final, but that was the day he apparently started to lose the changing room by dropping Puncheon.

Season 3 - Pardew has totally trashed the team spirit. Going backwards again towards relegation I fear.
