I miss that most people never knew how crap we can be.

Don't we have to win something or at least get into Europe to do a Leeds?

Its Wednesday and I have finally been able to sleep, after the Swansea result I was watching a stream on the internet and phoned my friend another Palace fan at 90 minutes and joked that at least we would draw the game but alas knoww. As for doing a Leeds we have been a couple of hours from going out of business. During my teenage years we were in the 3rd division, I used to joke to my work mates that I would be happy with mid table mediocrity in the championship and the odd cup run. For the last 3 years we have been a premiership team if we go down then so be it as long as there is a Palace team to follow. Roll on Saturday and if we had been Leeds with the run we had this year we would have been on our 4th manager

Would it really be that bad? Yes it's great playing the top teams but when you have tourists sitting next to you week after week in the AW block V, who ask you "where is the megastore?" you get annoyed that there is some Palace supporter who can't get in because someone wants to see our opposition play.

in terms of proper football and its fans, It wouldn't bother me if we were relegated; yes it's financially bad for the club but it's not the end of the world, as long as the 'weed stay down then I'm happy.

So, in a nutshell, the most important thing for you is not whether WE stay up or go down but whether Brighton do. Jeez.

I'm really not bothered if we go down. I'd love to see some of our youngsters getting a chance because that's what football is all about and that's not going to happen while we are in the Premier League.

From a purely selfish point of view, now I live outside the country I demand that we stay in the PL as I can't stream games from the Championship.

As others have pointed out, in order to 'do a Leeds' you first need to succeed before you fail. Personally I think we'll survive whether Pards stays in charge or not...but I wouldn't put my house on it.

Wouldn't it be bliss to have the power to know if we went down we'd definitely be up again within 5 seasons.

I don't like spoilers to TV shows and wouldn't want to know the ins and outs of how it happened but if a genie offered me the chance to go down a division and know that 1 of the next 5 seasons would see us promoted I'd take it in a heartbeat.

It'd be bloody lovely to be a big fish in a small pond again. Win 5 or 6 games on the bounce etc. This Prem formula of being proud of a 10th placed finish is bloody boring in a lot of ways.

Unfortunately there's no genie or guarantees in football and if we go down we may never play the top teams again. We must stay up, or a Leeds could definitely happen to us. Then in 10 years you wouldn't hear me moaning about 10th place being boring.

More like a Charlton than a Leeds.

Papers report Southampton on a roll with their away win at Arsenal and Hull on a surge with their win over Newcastle.
Seems we always play sides when they are at their high point and we may struggle to get any points from our next two fixtures,in which case adieu Pardew,as we very likely are to do a Leeds this season.

If 'football is all about' what happens outside the Premier League, surely you should just support a club that is outside too. There is, I believe, one not all that far from you. Personally, I thought supporting a club meant hoping that they would do the very best possible.

I am bothered if we go down. Every year we manage to survive in the PL is further strengthening our club's position and dreams of yesteryear. Also, if Brighton and Newcastle (with OUR Gayle and Murray!) get promoted and we go down - well - I just couldn't stand it. Please, shoot CPFC supporters that want us back in the Championship on sight.
