I don't want Martin Kelly anywhere near the team he is so crap, a right footed cb playing lb it's a joke. Teams are just playing down our left side all the time. Zeki can't be any worse surely?

Yeah Martin has taken a lot of stick.

It feels a long time since THFC away in the FA Cup last season.

He's being hung out to dry. He's not a left back, hence the original point of this thread.

We are so desperate it's going to have to be Zeki Fryers.

God help us.............

Where does this idea that he is a CB come from?

Southampton are not prolific scorers in the PL this season only scoring 13 goals, but 5 of them have come from set-pieces.

Defensively they have been sound, only conceding 12 goals, the 3rd joint best record in the PL.

He is really a right-back although centre-half is his preferred position.

I like the look of this team maybe sub Kelly for Fryers if things are getting a bit difficult for him (like yesterday)
and Zaha dropping inside the box for Bentekes knock ons when attacking from the left (worked yesterday)

That was the back 4 v Burnley and it was a shambles Ward went missing for the first Punch gave the ball away for the 2nd and entire back 4 disappeared for the winner. Id try Tompkins at RB

Mandanda has to start in goal, Ledley in the middle to help shore up the midfield with McCarthur. Puncheon behind Benteke. Still have Zaha and Townsend on the wings but would consider Chungy for Townsend as a viable switch as his work rate is better.

Probably still injured; also did nothing when he was in goal to suggest that he will improve things. Didn't come for crosses, let in shots he should have saved and poor distribution put the defence under pressure.
