Pretty much how I see it. There is no lack of effort, don't think Pardew has lost the dressing room and away from our own area you'd be pleased with what you're generally seeing. Watching the game last night, we were in total charge of that game up to the Swansea equaliser and deservedly ahead. But there is something not right. The majority of our players are good enough to be at least mid table in this division and I'm sure come the end of the season we will be, but I am mystified as to how this calendar year has turned into such a disaster. It's always easy to blame the manager when results aren't good, but there should be a lack of effort or wrong tactics or wrong team selection to attach the blame, and I just don't see that and I genuinely don't think changing the manager is the answer. Injuries, bad luck? I just don't know, but what is Pardew's job is to find out what the problem is right now before it is too late. It's been the managers job to sort out for nearly a year. For whatever reason it is clearly beyond him. This last week is super clear that AP has no solution to what has become a deep rooted problem. Yesterday result has crowned the fall.

What i find really odd is the long runs of good and bad,top five last Christmas then didn't win again til March. Some good early performances then the recent shambles. We were the last team to concede from a set piece last year now we are have concede more than anyone else comfortably.

I'm stumped a bit too, but I believe it's LEADERSHIP. There's no-one on the pitch taking charge. Jedinak was very underestimated by Pardew. Sure, I accept he ought to have been replaced, but he wasn't replaced, not his ability to take charge of the players, to read the big picture, to command respect and obedience. Honestly, most of the soft goals scored against us, I could literally SEE the players confusion and lack of purpose. And not just this game. I simply do not believe that with Jedi playing our defence would be as deplorable as it is now. We are lacking a captain. Look at Pardew's excuses for the last bunch of games - always not being able to get information out to the players.

Firstly, our squad is too thin and thus we don't have enough options for change or competition for places. And I think all the players know this. And most damningly, so does Pardew. Mutch, Sako, Speroni, Campbell, Chungy et al, know full well that they are NEVER going to be play regularly. That they may or may not be good enough is a seperate debate but it leaves Pardew few options for genuine change. But whose fault is this? Secondly, our midfield four or five are/have become really poor at defending. Zaha, Townsend and McCarthur have let their players go at vital times recently and led to goals. Cabaye and Jimmy Mac seem to struggle in every game; rarely dominating, creating or making clean tackles. Thirdly, the loss of Soare cannot be underestimated (& imo, he won't ever fully recover). Kelly is as poor a replacement as there can be, both defensively and going forward. He has been subbed numerous times (how often are full backs ever subbed) yet continues to be first pick for the next game. On this topic, I now have no hair left to pull out. And lastly, no leadership. Mute goalkeepers, pansy centre backs and moany midfielders is what we now have. For all his faults, Damo is the only leader in the squad.

Full backs are poor. Don't stop crosses. Give away too many free kicks. Tompkins not as good as we hoped. Goal keepers not sufficiently commanding and poor at defending direct free kicks. And unable to learn from the same mistakes. Apart from that we're not too bad lol Good summary.

1.Playing Kelly at Left Back.need Fryers or a left footed player. 2.Remove Captaincy from Dann (affecting his game). 3.Remove Cabaye from the team, we never win with him on the pitch at the final whistle.

Regardles of our views, lets not become like some other fickle fans, they are our players, he is our manager, lets just continue in supporting them, have our moan on here, but come game time lets get behind the team as we have been doing

I'll be watching a show while we lose to Southampton next week, so can't be there. Really not sure what mood I'd be in if I was there, I'm still fuming.

Am in the same boat as you this morning absolutely fuming. This decline has not happened overnight! We have been slowly deteriorating for the past 12 Or so months. It is now time for change in my opinion not after Southampton or Hull but now. Sadly the change needs a to include the whole backroom staff as well as Pardew. Ironically one of the most respected coaches we had when Pardew arrived, Ben Garner was allowed to leave and go to WBA.

For what ever reason we can't defend. Last season with pretty much same players we rarely conceded from set pieces. Yesterday we may have well so stood behind the goal if they got a free kick/ corner such was the headless chicken defending. The only player we are really missing is Pape clearly he was more integral to the team than we thought. Dann for England we all cheered - make me laugh he has been woeful last few games. We can score and more than not like a threat but can't see players doing the basics . I actually don't blame Pardew for this I blame Dann. He is captain he needs to lead organise Ind if players are not in position sort it out.
