Interesting, but no prospect whatsoever of him walking out on Celtic for us. If he was a free agent I would be quite happy. He cant do any worse.

Following Palace since 25 Feb 1978

He is a massive Celtic fan himself so the only way he will go is on to a proper big club. Like Watford.

My thoughts exactly and he may jump at the chance to be reunited with Benteke, who of course he signed for Liverpool. Also,a departure from our tendency to sign ex players to manage our club.

WTF? We've had more non-Palace players manage Palace than ex-players. Stick to facts....oh and grow up

I don't think he would leave Celtic before the summer.

We don't really appreciate how important Celtic is to a good proportion of Scots, Irish and Rodgers' Northern Irish nationalist community.

Celtic is far more than just a football club to these people so highly unlikely he would do anything as drastic as leaving mid-way through the season.

Correct I supply NYCSC their supporters club I think this is a non runner...

Grow up????
Perhaps it's your age that's the problem.
Stick to the facts as we do have a tendency to appoint ex players as managers.
Consider Venables(twice),Lombardo,Kember,Dowie,Freedmam ,Pardew to name just those who have managed in recent times.I rest my case.

Zat right? Ah wisnae aware Celtic wis a fitba club. It's a pure quasi-religious cult, isn't it?

I know plenty of people who think and talk about nothing but Old Firm despite having f*** all understanding of football. Some of them even think they're still in Europe.

Not sure the point you are making my friend but if you think that Rodgers personal commitment to Celtic doesn't run deeper than the majority of managerial relationships to football clubs then I'm afraid you are incorrect.

Hope I'm wrong, hope Alan is sacked, Roders walks out on Celtic and away we go but this will never happen.

Sorry I'll be up front about this when it comes to football I'm a bit defensive minded. It is probably the trauma brought on by a life time of playing in goal with forty year old full backs thinking they are Roberto Carlos that has made me appreciate a good solid defender doing their job. Others loved Wright and Bright for me it was Humphries and Shaw. I love to see Italy progress as Holland implode. If i look on line I'm sure I'll find a syndrome and self help group to explain my thinking.

So genuine question what specific qualities will Rodgers bring to a team that need good organization and sound defense?
