Depends who is doing it. It might not diagnose prostate cancer but who cares.

A middle-aged, non-English speaking locum GP is not an attractive proposition.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

There are other tell-tale signs that you have prostate problems but bollock-feeling isn't much help.

Indeed. I have my finger up my ar$e every other hour (whilst checking my b0llocks, and making sure there are no lumps on my manhood).

You never know when the demon "C" strikes......

I'm not going there just in case one is administering the pads to my chest sometime in the future.

In my experience, of which I've had too much over the last couple of years, I've come to the conclusion that hospital doctors (and the staff generally) are very, very good whereas GPs seem to be f*cking useless and just refer you on if you've got anything more complicated than a cold. I f*cking hate GPs.

On a serious note I have found the gp only sits up and takes notice when you walk in there after a hospital trip clutching a letter from one of their doctors. This happened to me back in the summer. Lots of doctors visits being fobbed off , ended up in a and e one Sunday night for 5 hours. Walked into the drs on the Tuesday and I am now on the waiting list at hospital for an operation. Prior to all this they had been shoving various pills down my throat

They're useless. Really useless.

I am convinced mine is on commission or taking backhanders from a particular medicines company as she is forever trying to get me to have a certain treatment to the exclusion of any other suggestions as to how to help me

I had to have the one finger exam, everything going was going good OK until late I asked where I should put my trousers...and he replied "just over there next to mine",

There is some truth in that. Making snap illogical diagnosis and dispensing pills seems to be their remit.
