I yearn for the days of Empire, Christian values and good old fashioned English cooking.

Since we shunned those principles, England has become a nation of effete, flaccid, impotent benders.

It's not all doom and gloom. There are still 14 overseas territories under our sovereignty and jurisdiction with whom muscles could be flexed and jackboots employed at anytime should The Pitcairns or Anguilla and suchlike get a bit cheeky.

On a sliding scale, of course. But isn't everyone?

I disagree. I have found that some of the most kind souls are religious.

I concur.

I enjoy a Sunday Eucharist followed by a traditional English roast.

Getting back to Safeways you could go to the Edgware Road branch in the 1960s and buy a pack of crushed lamb testicles to cater for those local Arabs. How's that for multi-culturism?

I think you should be more inclusive of Christians, rather than dismissive.

You wouldn't treat Muslims the same way or label them 'nutty'.

I can't help but think you are double standard bearer.

Quite right

all went wrong when we started taking the "no dogs or chinese" signs down from the parks in Empire lands and desegregated the beaches...Bring back the pre-first Brexit (exit from British Empire)days...

As for cooking, well, surely we were doomed soon as we ditched our world beating Michelin rosette culinary delights such as sausages, beans and mash (which I'm actually quite partial to btw) for the awful wide range of tasty international cuisine now on offer all over the place..

About as "quite right" in fact as the second Brexit will turn out to be,no?

ps. You sure that's what's caused impotence?

Let's not forget Maynards sweet shops either

spent Saturdays of my youth handing out half ounces of Old Holborn and quarter pounds of wine gums and toffee from the slab and Jamesons' Raspberry Ruffles........the good people of Penge of old were well served.
