If a company includes a prepaid envelope in their junk mail offering, I fill it with as much junk as I can and post it back to them.

Sometimes I might find out the name of the marketing manager and arrange for a load of junkmail to be sent to them

I once went completely psycho with BT over junk mail. They had taken three months to sort out my phone line for Sky to provide me broadband, during which time I had nothing but an intermittent 3G signal on a crap mobile. They kept sending me their junk mail trying to get me to go over to BT Broadband (I had previously used them as well and it had been an incredibly poor service). I had been writing to them and emailing them to ask them to take me off their junk mail list. Eventually I lost it ripped up all the junk mail I had (not just from them) stuffed the bits into an envelope, wrote a note about how they were in breach of the data protection act (I have no idea if they actually were) and snapped the pen into little shards of plastic and posted it all back to them.

They still write to me.

I once s**t into a return envelope that came with some junk mail and returned it. I was quite drunk and then next day realised what I had done, and how some poor worker drone might well end up opening that up...

The problem was two weeks later when you got some test results through the post confirming that you were diabetic and had a bowel wasting disorder.

If you post something really heavy, they have to pay the excess charge.

Or you could photocopy the prepaid envelope, and post 100 envelopes

That would cost them dearly

Not sure about pooing, as the post has to go through a machine which might press the envelope and squeeze stuff out the sides

I think they get the option of paying the money if they want it, or not if they don't. Any company being told they need to pay to receive a penalty fee to receive an overweight item, when all they sent was a BRE that could accommodate a credit card application form, will probably tell the Royal Mail no thanks.

Another tactic is to send them a letter, that sounds genuinely like a customer inquiry, but which is convoluted and nebulous and lacking in database details (like post codes)

This will entice them into a whirr of admin activity as they try to go after the sale.

But it's all a trap. My revenge for them wasting my time is to send them a letter that's so confusing it gets passed around the building and wastes at least ten of their people's time.
