I actually thought Hennessy's strange waddle towards the near post was partly to blame for the goal, essentially leaving Toure an open goal whilst getting literally no where near to the ball. He had to go to the near post as the ball was heading towards Aguero who was there. If WH had stayed in the middle and Aguero had turned it in at the near post then he'd have been blamed for not moving over. You have to blame whoever gave Toure a clear run 6 yards out.

You can possibly blame WH for the poor communication, but really it comes down to 2 players switching off entirely - Cabaye and whoever it was that should have been marking Toure.

Having watched the highlights again you are right, harsh of me to proportion any blame to him (although I didn't really make my point properly, it was only a small portion of the blame)

From where I was sitting in the WH, Wickham was still taking instruction from Pardew when the corner was taken, by the time he'd turn round Toure had 2 yards on him.

Why do they need instructions on how to defend at a corner ?

Goal could have been prevented by just one player taking the initiative: Hennessey as the GK, making sure someone was guarding the area were the ball went. Dann as the captain, telling people where to stand Cabaye as the player on the edge of the box, marking no one, could have just moved onto the edge of the 6-yard area. Tomkins as the player I saw as losing Toure.

Well, he did 5 seconds later when the ball was in the back of the net. Too late Yohan. Yep, the gap was BEHIND him. Of course he's special and so has eyes in the back of his head. Hennessey's call without a doubt.
Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes. |

A tad unfair to lay all the blame there when the ball should never have got to him in the first place.

1.Kelly should have ushered it out for a goal kick,or kicked it out for a throw in.But alas he cannot kick with his left foot. 2.The team should be drilled to know what they do at corners. 3.Cabaye could have moved nearer the goal quicker. 4.Toure should have been marked. School boy errors after Kelly mistakes for both goals. Left back needed.
