Souare could've suffered a 4 month injury or a season long one rather than a car crash? Where was the contingency planning? Didn't we have that issue post Christmas in midfield and on the wing? Did we chance it again? Did we get lucky recently without any midfield cover apart from a retiring Flamini? Maybe apart from the several games with that gap between midfield and striker so that's another fail. The learning from Pardew on field and squad planning and possibly higher up with regards to squad planning proves we are not unlucky but turning more and more into rollers of the dice. We've chanced it and now it's going to need a big change unless a win comes very soon.

Seemed strange at the time as we were pushing but when you refelect Benteke was poor and has been for a couple of games now. 30m?

I am sure City would rather face the threat of Chungy than that of Benteke.

The role of Wickham and Benteke defending corners would presumably have been discussed at half time when the former was brought on. Judging from the way the winner was scored and the reaction after it was not addressed when the sub was made. Pardew did the right thing in bringing Wickham on to bully them in the air a bit but undid it with a pointless / needless sub that upset the balance of the team and momentum and give City one less headache when we were doing ok.

Maybe had a quiet game. But once Kompany went off and Wickham scored. Swapping Benteke for Chungy was a f**king joke of a sub.

After the equaliser City targeted Kelly time and again and he was getting no help from Wickham, so Pardew pushed Punch out there to help him. We didn't even get hold of the ball after the equaliser, so it was IMO the right thing to do. Hindsight great, but the sub didn't cost us the goal, rank bad concentration, once again did. Also I felt Kelly could of faked a clearance and won a goalkick rather than kick it out for a corner, but it's fine margins. ..and, the right one.
