I don't remember this happening when I played park football. Maybe it was because I was a left back.

Nor me, I was a left back to. Either that or running the bloody line :-(

All Proffessional footballers get a huge discount on leasing cars from Lexus/Mercedes.
Most from the lower leagues will have one or the other some both if they are married.Premier League players really dont need to bother. Some are offered cars to drive for free to promote them. My pal is an agent and the stuff he is offered free is amazing, They are awash with money yet get Free meals, Drinks, Tickets, clothes,Cars etc. But are they really happy?

Who gives a sh1t?

I remember the '97/98 season in the Prem when one of the "big teams" came to sunny Selhurst. There were Ferraris,Lambourghinis,Bentleys, etc and in amongst them was a Ford Escort with the reg. no. C4RLO! I assumed it belonged to Carlo Nash. Ollie's Dad,Ash.

Pure marketing.

Now Joe Ledley's got in on the act.

His car was provided - probably free - by the company who took the photo of him and conveniently have their own logo-emblazoned vehicle in the background.

The greed of these self-entitled footballers is shameful.

Minis are the coolest cars and rocketing in price...they are great investments so I don't blame the players...I have two and they get more attention than far flashier cars!
Jay Rodriguez at Sothampton also has one.....

If memory serves me, Ian Evans used to have a sponsored Mini and trust me to see him getting out of that was something to behold.
