Is there a FIFA anthem played before the match? I can imagine England and Scotchland fans uniting to boo all the way through if there is.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

To be fair, Wales are not playing a British team. What if Serbia wanted to wear something about the Balkan war, then another country etc. It needs to be within reason. For example a ban would be justified if England were playing Germany, Iraq, Ireland etc as it would be political then. Common sense should have prevailed for the England Scotland game. Anyone know if Northern Ireland will defy the ban? Makes no difference - remembrance is not political unless you want to misrepresent the thanks being expressed to the fallen.

So Wales wont wear a poppy on their armbands as they dont want to risk a fine or points deduction. I bet Coleman will have one on his suit though, which makes it even worse. Their choice I suppose. I don't agree with it, but that they aren't isn't a big deal to me. As long as the England team does.

Only by people who wish to make it so, for their own agenda - it is an personal choice whether you want to participate in remembrance - if you don't then no problem, it's your choice. For clarity it's only political for those who want to make it so.

What National Anthems do we play? God Save The Queen but different verses for each nation?

On a related note, does anyone notice that when the fans sing the national anthem during the game they actually sing the bridge "doo doo doo doo doo doo SEND HER VICTORIOUS"? I mean, I know it's to keep the timing but it tickles me every time. It's about the only entertaining aspect of an England game.

the poppy on the Welsh kit wouldn't show up anyway. It would just look like a black dot so they probably could have got away with it
