As soon as the Press and MOTD etc get their teeth into to the 5 wins in a year bit, he will be butchered by them.

Oh, and with an inherited squad with way too many Championship level players.

It's just that you all seem to have forgotten.

And with a much beeter squad (his) he has guided us to 16th place, one point above relegation places, playing the sort of gung ho football that gets teams relegated.

Football is like fresh fruit - results 2016 is just not acceptable with the team we have. Adding Pardew's comment: "I'll never change my way of playing - going forward is the only option" or words to that effect. Sorry that it is ending this way, but it should be (very soon) - bye-bye Irene!!!

I don't care about 'moving forwards', I think we're roughly about as far as we can go if we talking about reasonably safe from relegation each season. Some one has to make up the numbers, and we'll probably never be able to rise above that level in our present form.

My concern is that we appear to be going backwards. Relegation, with our wage bill is a concern - Looking at other also runs of the premiership who have been relgated in recent years.

Certainly the 'Press' do, as I speak to various members of the national press fairly regularly !

And he did get W.Ham promoted into the PL in 2004-05.

And if you're already in the PL; same question?

I suppose this depends on what one deems "Next level". There are certain teams that one never considers for relegation in pre-season, for example Stoke. Maybe if we reach this status on a regular basis this could be deemed "next level".

Yes, absolutely, that would be my definition of our next, and possibly ultimate, level with our current set up. So is AP the man to achieve that?

It would appear that increasingly many supporters are forming the opinion that Pardew is not the man to elevate us to such a level but at the end of the day the 'Board' will decide his fate.

I believe he will be given every chance to turn things around but as ever there comes a 'Tipping Point'.
At the present time we aren't in the relegation places nor cut adrift in fact we are only 2 pts off 10th place so not all doom and gloom !

I thought it was the HF that decided the manager's fate at our club.

In Spain, once the manager gets the "White Handkerchief" treatment it normally isn't long before the manager departs. I believe that Bobby Robson suffered such a fate at Barcelona.

Perhaps the HF might choose to go down this route if they want Pardew out !!!!

It was Pardew who was in charge when they were relegated out of the PL in 2006-07 ! But they were in the relegation places when he took over in December after 19 league games.
The following season, 2007-08 they finished 11th in the Championship.
Season , after 2008-09, he was sacked in November with Charlton in 22nd place.
Current manager of Bolton, Phil Parkinson, was Pardew's assistant at Charlton.
