Sako creates more space on his dinner plate. His agent saw us coming. Edited by Rudi Hedman (31 Oct 2016 10.35am)

But have read a stat. (On a forum not sure whether this one) that he was statistically better than Zaha your POTY last year. Am I wrong? Sako is hopeless. Stats can be interpreted any way you want. He scored in both of his first two games for us and we all thought we had a real player on our hands. For some reason he never got near reproducing that form after that and now he is surplus to requirements. I dread to think how many people bought shirts with hair s name on it after his first two games but they probably wished they hadn't.

He hasn't really been given a chance by Pardew. He has his favourites. Mainly ones with a girlfriend/wife he wants to bed.

Another ridiculous Pardew signing in my opinion. Who else is on the list? I struggle to see how you could call it a 'ridiculous signing' - it was a free transfer, he won us some points last season, and has since proved that he's not up to it, and we'll still sell him for a profit in January/summer. The eagerness of some to criticise Pardew is so painfully boring.

From Xmas onwards we had almost more first teamers in the treatment room than on the field: cue rapid slide down table. With both Bolasie and Sakho side-lined and other options not really working, our "famous" wing play relied almost wholly on Zaha. The trouble was every team we played knew this. Shut him out; shut down team. Consequently, he was the most fouled player in the prem. Notwithstanding this treatment, he played on manfully and provided fans with almost nothing to cheer, that little spark of something. Hence - POTY. Sakho, on the other hand, scored 2 goals in his first 2 games; went missing; went sick; never really came back.

Slowest winger I've ever seen. Runs through treacle. Can shoot but basically all you have to do is close him down on his first touch and he's useless, doesn't have the intelligence to make himself a yard of space. Useless at this level unfortunately.
The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. |

So what's the crack with Sako? It was my understanding statistically he was better than your POTY Zaha last year. OK he's a 'bit of a lump' and can go missing. But still? This year off with a groin, benched when back from injury late Sept, then didn't make the bench v Liverpool. He's not off crock again is he?. Can we have him back? How was he statistically better than Zaha? Sako can't pass, can't tackle, can't defend, has no sense of awareness, can't mark and is quite slow and has the mobility of a wardrobe. He has a very good shot though.
