he needs a man marker akin to Bergkamp and Herman H back in the day. If Damo bullied Costa out the game, i'm sure similar can happen again.

Indeed, keep both Ward and Delaney away from Payet. Surely Dann is back for this weekend? Payet, regardless of his weight can still curl one out from anywhere. Agreed, we have to keep him quiet although with them due and win and us due a loss i think the writing is on the wall already. West Ham 1-0

Problem with Payet and players of a similar ability is that you can do everything right but they are capable of that bit of magic that its literally impossible to stop. The concept of keep Payet quiet and win the game is simple enough but I'm pretty sure that everyone had the same idea for the best part of last season and the start of this, it just simply sometimes cant be done. Let's hope we do our job best we can and that he has an off day and we can sneak a win.

I would Play Cabaye and McArthur and give the Job of Man Marking Payet out of the game to McArthur. Just follow him all over the pitch frustrate him and let Cabaye set the tempo.
