They should ban children under
10 from football matches and from a lot of other things too.

Took my 2 year old son to a match once and it didn't go well. Not to be recommended. Spent more time amusing him than watching the game.

It was at home to Leicester and we lost 3 nil. When he got home he told his Mum we'd won 3 nil.....

Am taking my other son to his first game soon - Leicester again! Fingers crossed it won't be another 3 nil defeat.

I don't know what's the matter with blokes these days.
You go to the footie to get away from the wife and kids, not take them with you.

I can't think that this is a good idea at all. My little fella is 18 months and would be a complete nightmare at a game. I'm only just about to take my nephew who is 6 as I think he might be able to now sit through the 90 minutes and he is football/palace mad.

From the ticket terms and conditions:

For the safety of infants and all supporters, Home Match Tickets are not available for infants under the age of 2 or babes in arms at any time during the Season and no infant under the age of 2 or babes in arms is allowed entry to the Ground to attend a Match

and yet two weeks ago, there was a baby brought in to the B block of the Holmesdale so that's clearly now regarded as tosh.

Said babe did however scream it's head off for the whole match, obviously not a fan of the blood curdling 'singing' and noise.

I think I was ten when I first went and that seemed about the right age. My mate takes his 6 year old to games and she sits still and loves watching Palace, but quite often they sit with the opposition fans because the Palace fans are too noisy for her and she gets scared!

Totally agree with this. Last thing i would do is take my wife to a game. I see the way me and my pals perv at any half decent women. The language and aggression that gets shown at games is not a place for my wife or kids either but i love it.

That's the official t&cs. Do I expect any of the turnstile operators to a) know this or b) care.

No.

Exactly, the 17 year old pube face on the turnstile is not the same suited businessman writing terms and conditions for football tickets whilst eating M&S biscuits in a meeting room.
