You're using the wrong media outlet. Try the Croydon Advertiser. They usually give us a fair crack of he whip.

Welcome Jaybee! Great to see new support from across the pond. And yeah, get used to it, we've never been fashionable......we like it that way!

In some ways I quite like that there is no respect for us. It really seems to p*ss on everyone chips when we beat virtually anyone.

We are Palace, destroyers of dreams.

There is nothing better than being unfashionable underrated and ruining Liverpool's season.

Seems to happen every year too.

Media? Phone off the hook sorry.....

Thanks for the welcome. I took a liking to the team last year while watching the Spurs game at Selhurst. Something about the team I just felt connected to. I use to only care about two teams, the NY Rangers and NY Giants. Well that list is now three, I'm a full on fan of Palace.

I'm just surprised at the lack of respect, especially since they are a London team (unless that doesn't mean much?). I guess it's not all that bad, especially if the team can channel that into a positive. You know, the old, "why not us?" theme.

As for MOTD, I do watch that here on NBCSN. There are two of them on, one is shortened version of, "The Week's Best Game," but that's BS, as it's usually a game involving the usual suspects, and they show it whether it's a good game or not. Then when that ends, is the weekly wrap up highlight version, with the whip around the league. Again, the big boys up front, the rest of the league pulling up the rear. And Palace have been on towards the end each time I've seen it. Not sure if it's the same program on over there.

And we do get TalkSport here on Sirius FC. I believe that's what was on when I heard the preview shows. The only time I heard a real discussion on that station of CPFC was when they had on a British actor or musician who is a fan of the team. I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of TalkSport. Again, they seem to just discuss the big clubs. Gets boring after awhile. I'm tired of hearing about Paul Pogba and the troubles of Man U.. And I don't care a bit about cricket or rugby. I get most of my CP info. here or the South London Press.

Anyway, I'm Palace all the way, whether the media cares about them or not. Hoping to get between 5 and 7 points before the Liverpool game. Keep the point streak going. And of course they are on over here tomorrow but I'll have to miss the game as my wife and I will be traveling out of town. I'm guessing Sirius will have the game on, unless they are broadcasting a two hour special on Wayne Rooney and whether he should start or not.

(sorry for the long posts, this is the only place I can talk with real Palace fans)

You'll come to enjoy hearing established PL clubs moaning about being beaten by 'Crystal f***ing Palace!!'

I look forward to it. I'm not sure which of the big clubs I dislike the most, but I'm thinking it's United.

They just seemed to be thrown in our faces more then any of the other teams. We went out for dinner last weekend and the kid sitting across from us was wearing a United sweatshirt. They are everywhere. Of course I had on my Palace t shirt .

Chelsea might be next on the list. Arsenal seem a bit boring, like you have to work up the hate. Liverpool are somewhat entertaining, and they seem like they can implode at any minute. For some reason City doesn't bother me that much. Yet. Spurs...climbing the ladder.

I always find Paul Merson is very positive about Palace.

Palace are still a blue collar, unfashionable team from the one part of London that's permanently unfashionable and blue collar.

Just one of the reasons why we are simply the best football club and fan family on the planet.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

I was wondering if that factored in. I've never been to England, let alone Europe. Personally I don't mind that at all. It's like the bars I usually like...small, usually Irish and under the radar.

Also, almost on que, I was in the car and listening to Grumpy Pundits, and they were picking their games. Two people picked the CP game tomorrow. Two people picked Everton straight up to win.
