Whenever we win a few games this question crops up. Lose a couple of games and it will be back to, "can we stay up?" Personally I would see a mid-table finish as more than satisfactory after last season, and have no desire to be in the Europe in the immediate future with the resources currently at our disposal.

The club's going through a massive transitional period, what with the new stadium and all and I think the Europa League could put our league status at serious risk. Besides, I seem to remember us discussing the same topic this time last year and look how that turned out Wheres that then ?

So far we have only played one good team and lost,we are at best a mid table team who can beat anyone on our day. IMO we are three players short of being a top six contender or cup final winner. Also we are three injuries away from a relegation fighting team. I am happy that AP has changed our style if we can get a mid table finish its happy days.

I think this is a really good team we have, the best i can remember in a long time, probably since the Coppell team of 1990-1991 that finished third in the top flight. Is Europe realistic? I still think there are a couple of positions to improve in January, another left back and possibly another forward/striker depending on how Remy comes back and whether he gets injured again or not. But we have some top players as was acknowledged by both Merson and Le Tiss on Soccer Saturday. Heady days indeed!!! FFS ... LOL! We win 3 consecutive games in nearly a year and Europe comes up! Haha

Q: Will we be in Europe next year? A: Yes, if there's a war. That was Jasper Carrot's go-to joke years ago.

We don't have the squad depth to reach Europe or compete in it.

I believe a big box to box player in the Diame mould too as we lack some power in midfield whatever the formation. That said we're 3 injuries away from a relegation candidate. If Dann, Jimmy Mac and Benteke all got crocked we'd look bang average. Football's such a fine line at top level lets just hope we keep everyone fit and add a couple of additions in Jan, then see where we are to push on! Whatever the outcome this season we're going in the right direction and there's a lot more to come from this team. With a bit of luck a top 10 finish for sure..... great post.

Anything is possible just ask Leicester. Personally I think our level now is about mid table , so no I won't be expecting Europe.
