It will be in charity shops for about 10p soon enough - so don't rush to buy it.

Shows you what he thinks of the Scottish league. Releasing an autobiography after he has retired from the professional game and while he is dicking around up at Rangers.

Also interestingly enough his time at rangers has shown how he is still a cock and a nasty little s***

how? Because he rowed his team mates for being inept? JUst playing devil advocates btw

I'm stuck in the dilemma of not wanting this buffoon to earn any money out of buying his book and also being quite intrigued to see if it's any good.

Anyone read it and can let me know whether I should save my money or if it's worth reading?

Go onto Amazon and buy a second hand copy. He wont benefit then

He even marked himself out as an exceptional arse at Ibrox within about six weeks and that's one heck of an achievement.

does that make me a ....? what?

always admired him as a footballer, he has had/has his demons, but is an interesting personality (imo anyway)

i find it strange how on this website we used to have a player like claude davis who was defended to high heaven despite destroying peoples faces with his elbows & pulling knives on teammates but joey bartons not allowed the time of day.

if only he had played for us...eh?

Am with you Braunston. Although he's clearly a time bomb waiting to explode, and I would never wish to see him play for Palace, I enjoy what he has to say in the media and he clearly cares passionately about what he does and is a honest voice in the dressing room and to supporters alike.

There were times in the past that a voice like Barton's would have done wonders in the Palace dressing room. If somebody like Shaun Derry has nothing but praise for him as a team mate that's good enough for me.

Joey Barton should be in prison with his murderer brother.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Didn't know the latter about Claude Davis - that's unacceptable. I think Barton is interesting, but in that kind of 'wouldn't want to be around them when they're being interesting' kind of way. A bit like that bloke everyone knows when they're younger, who's always getting into fights. You make excuses for them, until you actually realise they're the cause of their problems.

Really funny, generous person...except when he was in a mood. Then he would go very quiet and start wobbling and his nose would swell up and his teeth would move about and he'd get very violent and claim that he'd laid Stanley Baldwin.

I think with someone like Barton because of his exploits of the field people automatically close their ears and their minds to what he has to say

Sounds like plenty of 'nonsense' to me

...online taunts aimed at Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers and captain Scott Brown, and a training bust-up with a team-mate which eventually saw him suspended for three weeks. and

...accused by the Scottish Football Association of placing 44 bets between 1 July and 15 September this year.

What a really terrific guy
