To me this was our most proficient performance for a long, long time. Sad about conceding late - especially for my fantasy football team :-(. But, there seemed to be an understanding & interplay that I haven't seen for ages.
Ledley & McArthur were great as the holding midfielders. Townsend and Zaha were superb. Punch was good as the CAM & Benteke was really impressive - not just as the target man. He was all over the field and his touch was great. Seemed to me he was communicating and developing the rest of the team. I think he's a hugely influential signing.
Couldn't be happier!
Of course, it could just be that Stoke are rubbish. But I've seen enough to satisfy me that we have some potential.
AP has committed to redevelop our playing style and, although this is just one game, I like what I've seen so far.

The records show that we have a great winning history against Stoke. I usually place great significance on such statistics but have a feeling we're meeting this lot off the back of their last thrashing and they'll be tough to crack.
