No I wouldn't but saying that with my fan glasses on up to a point.

Just think if he'd stayed with us and we'd had him and Benteke (injury free) then you'd be almost guaranteed two more years in the prem. No coincidence that our form fell off a cliff when he got injured at Stoke.

Townsend a very tidy replacement but cant really beat a player and reckon Bolasie would have been at the Euros if he was English.

I said last Summer if we lost him we'd struggle but we should not struggle now. Because the bid and his sale hasn't been a surprise this summer I mean.

Bolasie is hugely overrated, despite a reasonable start to life at Everton.
Also I thought he was disrespectful towards the Palace when he said the move was a "no brainer".

In fairness Everton haven't been out of the top flight in my lifetime and are at the level we should be realistically aspiring to.

From what I've seen had a blinding 20 mins most games as he did with us the other times he's walking around , not tracking back , blazing shots wide etc Everton will soon get fed up

To be fair to him, it could be a "no brainer" for a number of reasons. I suspect the overriding factor for Bolasie was significantly more money.

Bolasie also said money had nothing to do with his move.
Really ?

Don't get me wrong, he will do well there, but they have had 2 easy fixtures for their squad away at Sunderland and at home to Middlesbrough. Kidman is a very good manager but things stabilise eventually. Us and Everton have done well to achieve our aims but long term we've done better regarding the deal. Big clubs throw money without sell on value like they have done and Everton are between that level and us.

Rachid, you wouldn't have sold?

Football is business now. Ferguson at Man U was the best at knowing when to sell players at their peak value

Pogba being a prime example

it rarely works out this way but i think this transfer has ended up being a fantastic deal for both clubs.

maybe we couldav kept him but it seems he wanted to go and after a decent amount of service from the lad and the fee we got there wasnt much point in trying to hard, we sold him at the height of his worth...smart move

Bolasie is a match winner, whereas zaha is more consistent performer. The problem if we did keep bolasie, pardew would be playing up front where he is very poor. Fans seems to bolasie done nothing at palace, which is so wrong, yes his unpridictable and irrratic but his a major threat. Good luck to bolasie, time to move on and get behind the current palace boys. Coyp

The master plan was not to sell Bolasie but to push him to new heights by adding Andros. He has moved to a club with good competition for places and good luck to him.
Everton have a wealth of talent, hopefully one of them will get annoyed with the lack of football and come to us.
Yes I think we were right to sell at that price and can spend it in January if the right player is available.

Agreed. Loved to watch Bolasie at times but for me he seemed to be on borrowed time last season. I think the outcome was good for him and the club.

It was a good bit of business and more than covered the cost of Benteke. Not sure we've spent much overall in the recent transfer window so we should be quids in to spend in January if necessary.
