The big thing for me is that the ball seems to stick to his hands. He doesn't fumble it, it just seems to stick. He also seems very composed with the ball at his feet. Goalkeepers generally seem to take a few games to settle, but that doesn't seem the case. I don't want to get carried away, but he does look very good.

Did you think I thought he did? I agree. It always p*sses me off when we praise our own players. I much prefer a toxic atmosphere, maybe we could start booing when we score, that would be great.

I feel there's something missing when watching Palace this season. I don't know what but something doesn't feel right? Maybe it's Bolasie not being in the team? or i'm just not used to seeing our new players in a Palace shirt. Just something... but i don't know??? I had the same feeling and its strange butI havent warmed to benteke yet eventhough hes scoring. Its like playing football with your mates down the pub then a ringer turns up and plays you off the park.

I don't want Hennesey in goal, but I guarantee that if he conceded that header he would of been blamed. The movement by Ayala to lose DD and gain a running jump over DD's back peddling one was superb and frankly exonerate Damo from the blame he got IMO. Personally I feel comfortable with Mandanda, which I didn't with Wayne, but the double standards on here, are at times breathtaking.

Undoubtedly a very high quality world class goalkeeper and he has been for many, many years. He commands his area, big and strong, is composed, distributes the ball well, not afraid to come off his line or even out of the area, closes down the angles superbly and is a good shot-stopper - he has everything really. Add to this he gives confidence to the back four who are focused on doing their jobs rather than worrying about what the keeper may or may not do. In my opinion he is the best signing the club have made since promotion. This time last year we had McCarthy between the sticks - vive la difference. And to think we apparently made money on the sale to Southampton of this error prone keeper!!
