So you have the issue of people standing in front of kids and them swearing like a trooper. Parents then arguing with the fans swearing and standing.

why are the media so obsessed with 'the atmosphere' at west ham? Couldnt be because there isnt one, or what is there is deeply unpleasant and West Ham are desperate to let everyone and their dog know its wonderful, could it?

A subject close to my heart. Edited by Willo (12 Sep 2016 8.28am) You are dead right Willo. Ultimately, we are lucky at Palace, that we have the family end for people with kids, so less sweary, B block for standing, the HF bit at the front for jumping around, the Old Stand for people who want to get some sleep, and the only bit of friction is if away fans take the piss in the Arthur at "Cat A+" games At West Ham, they didn't seem to have a clear plan for a 'family' area, a 'singing' area (you don't have to call it standing but everyone knows what you mean) and so on. Having 'different types' of fan mingled together is the ingredients for annoyance at away games for example, although with common sense, the sitters usually gravitate to the front, or empty blocks for unobstructed views West Ham want to maximise their capacity and be able to sell 66,000 seats by next season. The council are saying that in order to get a safety certificate for 66,000, they need to ensure everyone sits. So, the dildo brothers are very keen to get everyone sitting, so they can sell even more tickets They do have one bit of luck - there are blocks with thousands of 'netted over' seats, so with some careful management, they could move all those with a need (or simply a desire) to sit into these blocks, and leave the standers to it. Give it 5 years and there should be safe standing anyway - there already is in Scotland at Celtic, and then they can properly sort it out.

With all the money that West Ham have saved, you would have thought that they could have afforded a bit of panning. If the old ground had a family stand, why did no one think to have one at the new ground? Likewise the fans who stood and sang in the old Bobby Moore stand should have been told what the equivalent is at the London Taxpayers Stadium. I feel a bit sorry for West Ham fans. They didn't want to move but the new owners saw £ signs.

Three games at their stadium on the spin where they have had fighting in the stands, Was also fighting outside Saturday. Club blaming the grounds security. Find it an absolute piss take that West Ham do not pay for the Police or Security inside the ground as the cost is included in the very cheap rent they negotiated in what was obviously a crooked deal.

I hope sincerely that (1) it becomes one of the worst home grounds in the leagues; and (2) West Ham get punished properly for getting unfair state assistance. The CPFC plan - to move the club back to a redeveloped NSC in Crystal Palace Park, and keep the Olympic stadium as the new NSC - made far more sense than what they did.

That's about as shambolic as it can get. Who signed off the safety certificate?
