We need to sort out our chain of command. For Pardew to say that the players can sort out that sort of stuff between themselves ad hoc is not on. l is the manager and should make the decisions, Dann is the captain and should see that they are carried out, and he and Mandanda and Cabaye and Benteke etc are experts in their respective areas and should be listened to and not shouted down by those with louder voices but should also not give orders on issues that are not in their areas of expertise.

Mandanda knows exactly how to organise a defence for a set piece and if this knowledge is ignored we concede stupid goals.
