So I would hope we do only have a toilet cubicle and a bag of peas as at least the players can have a good clear out while they're getting treated ;-) Edited by tshepp897 (08 Sep 2016 3.08pm) I don't know about scientific evidence but when I see top jockeys including the great AP McCoy using them to get over injuries quicker I do take notice considering the nature of their sport.

Wickham played regularly before he came to us, Cabaye was rarely injured, likewise Punch, plus Sako normally played most of the season when he was at Wolves. I actually think it is caused by our poor preparation during pre-season. We are now more concerned with money spinning opportunities by playing games in the USA in quick succession rather than concentrating on fitness, and by the time we get back to England we only play a couple of friendlies and even then first team members are missing ( made worse by our Euro players returning late ) We seem to be trying to rush and push the players too quickly after the season has started, and getting so many soft tissue injuries. If we had a more organised focused pre-season more like the one we had two years ago with the intense altitude training, it would help us immensely Don't get this? Wickham and Sako both signed after pre-season last year and I don't think Cabaye would have been around for a US tour? We haven't really rushed people back either, otherwise Cabaye and McArthur would have played more already this season?

Interesting OP and Palace have no winter break and play much of the close season other teams look sharper. My beef is medicals I think that unfit players and players with poor histories are taken on by Palace can't prove it tho but a look at the last 2 seasons in particular. When they do play there is an injury problem already and they will carry it from game to game.

Every football supporter I know is convinced that their club has the worst injury crisis in the league...and most of them think it is because their club has stupid training methods. As other posts have suggested, I think we are no better or worse off than others and probably employ largely similar training methods. Footballers get injured.

Don't get it; apart from the fact that the players last year weren't here pre season as someone else has pointed out (and the injuries didn't really hit until after Christmas), wasn't there uproar on another thread because the club has changed the entire coaching staff plus physio? So damned if you do; and damned if you don't ?

As he wasn't even on our pre-season? Who else is injured?

I actually think we have been reasonably lucky with injuries compared to some clubs. Could be worse we could be at Arsenal. They're fit and we are almost in relegation places!
