They would say that though, wouldn't they?

They are responding to the 'Charges' made against them.

PGMOL deny allegations.

Can you imagine the shock if Clattenburg was involved?

it's the opposite with him, he sees things that haven't happened

you're right, it's not surprising. It's a bit like saying most public transport double decker buses in London are red.

NOT surprising given the Anti-Clattenburg "Brigade" on HOL.

Must have really irked one and all of them when he was awarded THREE major finals this year.

Now let's NOT turn this into a Clattenburg thread as this isn't the subject of this thread. My views are well known and I don't need to keep repeating them ad-nauseum.Thank You.

If you take the time to look at football club bulletin boards across the divisions, you'll see it's not just the HOL.

It remains a mystery how he manages to stay employed and what his superiors see or more to the point, don't see.

What irked me was his performance in the first of those finals. I would not be at all surprised if he was found to be less than whiter than white. Especially given his history

Have you taken up the position of 'Judge' and 'Jury' ?

At the end of the day Halsey has made a statement and those in the 'Firing Line' have responded.

Absolutely the referees and association should be due a fair hearing.

But this story appears to be fizzling out into not even an investigation. Which is obviously unreasonable. These allegations should in themselves be serious enough for an independent investigation.

I would also say that I see no reason for Halsey to lie. This wasn't serialised in some newspaper or trying to sell an autobiography (which almost certainly no one would buy). This was a 100 character tweet in response to a discussion. He gains very little (and hasn't been responding to interview requests either to date) from saying it.

So at best it would appear likely to be a very large misunderstanding between Halsey and the association officials involved in the incident. At worst .... well that should be for an investigation to determine.
