I had to laugh at the writing on the side of the pitch by the dugouts "The Academy of Football" ? Fcuk off. And yes, I agree "The Taxpayer's Stadium" it is from now on... much more apt and fitting.

It us about to go through another expansion at the taxpayers expense which is worse when you consider how rich they are. Of course this is more normal abroad, lots of councils own the football grounds. But whole everyone is upset about West Ham, Manchester City roll their eyes and keep schtum. I know what you mean but it somehow seems worse because West Ham weren’t super rich. They were roughly similar to us but have all of a sudden been gifted massive club status because this stadium situation. The fact that Crystal Palace was always the home of athletics in the UK makes it even more galling.

I'm more annoyed that they seem to be trying to claim the status of London. They've changed the stadium name to include it and put it on their new badge.

Having been to the London stadium a fair few times (I have few mates who are season ticket holders) the comments here about to far from pitch/cant see is complete rubbish and if you have really been their when setup for football which I dought then you need to go get your eyes checked asap. If Palace was handed that ground we would all be loving it. The correct path for Palace is a new ground you can't really do much with the current one it's all patch up jobs and it doesn't have the land around it either so to bring it to modern age it would have to be destroyed then rebuilt but that would be pointless the location is poor.

The days when West Ham fans almost all have their routes in East London/Essex are numbered. Just like Arsenal and Chelsea fans, who as a fan base have nothing in common. You have to wonder if this is what you would want for Palace. You really do have to sell your soul to be a very big club. Sounds like sour grapes but it's true.

Palace are doing no different to anyone else so we are not something special it's business if it was good for business to have no loyal fans Palace would be right up their to discard the loyal fans but at the moment they love them because they are fools that pay the high prices for everything. Sounds like sour grapes but it's true. Their routes are Essex into East London and back again. I think you're talking about their roots though. I agree, and it's not sour grapes. Half of palace talk have already sold their souls without us becoming a very big club, judging by the number of slag off the owners/managers/players thread just two (2 - yes, TWO) games in.
