Hopefully the kid has moved on. But you know footballers, they do like to be c**ts. Are they any more c***y that the general population though? On balance I'd say not really. I'm sure we could all dredge up a social media acquaintance with similar w***y views

People f*** up, it's just that nowadays you're more likely to get caught out and everyone knows about it in a matter of minutes.

Initially I thought let the scumbag rot. Then I remembered the sort of things I said and done at 21. Yes, not as vile but have I for instance always abstained from the Brighton 5-0 song as a youngster? No, although I wouldn't sing that now. It's called growing up and showing maturity. He's apologised, shown genuine remorse and must be allowed to go forward. Edited by laddo (22 Aug 2016 6.30pm)

Whats changed in 4 year's for him not to have them same thoughts? People can change, but when you write some of the vile stuff that he has wrote, then expect the inevitable, and right so repercussions. From what I can gather these comments only came to surface on Saturday night, so at no stage in the past 4 year's has he deleted them, only now when it's too late.
