I presume somebody already said Murray, Gayle and Bolasie.

Delph seems to have a role at City. in any case I am not sure where he would play for us and there seem to be better uses for the cash.

I would rather go for the Forest winger than Young given what I expect we would have to pay. Again priorities elsewhere.

How much are you asking for Assombalonga? Benteke and Berahino have at least scored in the Premiership.

Would rather Slimani who appears to be cheaper than Benteke

Filling the home grown quota?

They've only got Delph, Sterling, Stones, Iheanacho and Hart I think. And Hart wants out.

Riechedly Bazoer
Carlos Bacca
Wilfried Bony
Will Hughes
Leon Bailey
Ashley Young
Rodrigo Betancur
Levin Oztunali
Ousmane Dembele
Moussa Sissoko

Just a few names some might be open to loan deals with buy at end.

I think we may have about £35 million left to spend. Unless we get a better fee agreed for Benteke then he plus 1 more will be are only signings

Before people say we have sold Bolasie, Jedi and Gayle for a final fee of about £40 million. Maybe 50% of that will be upfront.

We have spent £25 million Townsend, Mandanda (where I read there was a fee to buy out a contract option) and Tomkins

I think we should go for Slimani at £23 million,
Talk to Villa about Ayew £6 million plus Jedi
Make an Offer for Burke of about £6 million with serious addons up to £10m - International caps, games played etc
Plus offer £2 million for Dack may be a gamble.

If Slimani doesn't come off £13 million for Bony

If we're doing deals where we only get 50% of the money upfront then we need psychiatric treatment. Parish's reputation as a wheeler-dealer is looking a bit iffy at the moment, but even I don't believe he's that stupid.

I get the point of this thread and the suggestions are good but for me if we are talking about strengthening then it should be:
Bolasse
Jedi
Gayle

Until replacements can be found we have let go a number of players and will need more than 3 to strengthen on the team we had last season and that team lacked any depth at all!!!
I concede Steve M, Tomkins and Townsend are good signings but currently the only one out of those that strengthens us is Tomkins as we haven't let a CB go (yet)

[And the TV money? We must have had a transfer budget before the sales so any sales should just bolster that. We should have about £50 million.
We out in a bid for Batsyui (spelt wrong) before we sold anyone.

We released a lot of people on free they may not of been hardly used but they are still backup for the squard which you need this was proven last season when we had few injuries.

We needed min of 6 more players now with Jed and bolasie basiclly gone that means 8 no way can I see us getting 8 more we can't even sort this Benteke deal out.

The other thing we released a lot of youth/reserve players and I have seen no action on that front to replace them.

80mil spend would be fair amount based on how much we have had come in from sales

I'd look at Ajax, great record of producing talent, with guys young but ready to play straight away

Bazoer - young player that will go to a big club soon. Be great if we could get in there first

Riedewald - Cb but can play Lb as well

Mitchell Dijks - LB but can play CB

ANWAR EL GHAZI - winger that is apparently available

Benfica also has a lot of young talent worth looking at, but a lot of their top prospects haven't been with them long, and so unlikely to want to sell.

Also
Andrei Ivan - scouted by top clubs - young Romanian striker that wouldn't cost too much
JORRIT HENDRIX - PSV defensive midfielder - Jedinak replacement
Will Hughes - young english talent, though as a result would probably cost more.

Ajax & Benfica players wont come to us they are both clubs that play EU football every year plus I can't see us paying the price for the players.

Just looked at Will Hughes he is typical over priced English man no way we would get him this price tag has put others off him.
