There is definitely a quality player in there. His goals at Albion and Sunderland proved that but he was injured again in that game. For a big powerful lad he seems to be made of glass. I know its not the way we play but if he had someone like Berahinho beside him it could be dynamite

I think he could be 20-25 even.

But I think its unrealistic to think of any player in terms of being able to go a whole season without injury - The issue really is being out long term (months at a time, rather than weeks).

Hopefully Wilf and Yala have spent the summer practising crosses. If they can get them to drop somewhere in the box, Wickham will bag a bunch of goals.

Agreed. I am going to change my mind here and say that another target man is a higher priority than a "No. 10" playmaker. Punch, MacArthur and Townsend are already options, as are Yala and Mutch (who I think is better centrally than out on the wing where he is lost as to what to do).

Another big man will allow Wickham to be rested too, so he isn't trying to play through knocks and end up hurting himself worse.
