Ladopo finishing has been dreadful in the states, i hope it's because he is snatching at chances trying to make an impression.

is a good point but could of had Gayle for the same job than Campbell

not a bad effort ooooooooooh! what a goal by Darren Ambrose absolutely stunning strike!!! And, Crystal Palace lead @ Old Trafford.

yes but Gayle was a highly sellable asset. keeping Gayle on television bench all the time just wasn't fair. The player was worthy of upper championship or lower premises first team material imo

but his sale has given us that third pacey winger we needed desp for only 3 mill.

Totally different players IMO. If you are chasing a game then Gayle is your man, but it sounds like Gayle wanted first team football anyway (don't blame him either).

If true, I'd suggest we get someone in before selling him!

We currently have 4 strikers on our books - Campbell, Ladapo, Wickham and Appiah - only 2 of which have any kind of experience - Campbell being one of them! Do you see where I'm coming from!

no, get him the hell out of our club to force the hand of the management to replace him. What is the point of keeping a clearly sub-standard 'striker' who won't score? I'd just as rather play Fryers up front if we're short. He can't be any worse than Campbell.

Right, I realise I'm probably going to get shot down in flames for this, but...

I think we should keep him. He hasn't really done anything to suggest he's going to be a 10+ goals a season striker for us (although he reached a similar number for Cardiff) but I think we should keep him as a 3rd/4th choice striker. He's got a good work ethic so ideal for coming off the bench and chasing lost causes in the last 15 minutes or so, or starting in cup games. We aren't going to be buying a striker in who is happy to do this job, so maybe a case of better the devil you know?

This obviously assumes we sign a first team striker/someone to compete with Wickham and that he is happy to play this role for the club.

Right, I'm putting my tin hat on now...

We can get a player who runs around a lot and doesn't score for a lot less wages then Campbell. I'd be for one of the up and coming guys to be 4th striker and playing Cup games. Bringing in 2 strikers is top priority.

I doubt he will go anywhere to be honest.
He must have a 3 yr contract at least and unless another Club matches his wages he will stay with us whether we want him or not!

No He's sh1t get rid an play Appiah. That's the thing about experience, you don't get it, unless you play.

hes friggin awful and if we can get shot we should do asap. on a lot of money when an academy player would offer more quality than him.

This Palace fan strategy of turning down offers for players we never thought we'd be able to sell, who only play as a last resort and aren't up to the level required must be eye opening for fans of other clubs.
