how about 1st and 2nd go up, 3rd goes straight to wembley, and 4-7 in the play offs meeting 3rd at wembley. generates another game and an extra play off spot to fight for. although i do realise that fitting an extra game in is awkward, but possible

Whilst I actually agree that the playoff system is unfair, it's interesting how Brighton weren't whinging about the system last year when they were nowhere near the playoffs or the year before when they finished 6th.

Just had a quick read of the link, whats with the AGM being in Portugal, since when do the Football League hold meetings over there.

There are clubs in the Football League who are in deep shyte financially but the ruling body goes on jolly.

Maybe that could also involve the quarter final being reduced to one leg. 4th and 5th places get a home tie for the playoff quarter final against 7th and 6th respectively.

The Tarquins are certainly bitterly jealous at the moment:

And to think we export this s*** around the world! Utterly disgusting"

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!

Aah this is the Premiership they are " ready for ", the Premiership that they are so desperate to get to that Bloom is funding them out of his own pocket to the tune of £1.5m a month.....

You won't meet a more deluded set of people ( I'm not calling them football fans ).....

I think there should be a benefit for finishing higher in the league. 3rd and 4th play at home with the winners going toWembley

Yeah, looking back, why was I talking about 4th-7th? I was being a bit generous in my automatic promotion spots.

That thread is hilarious. They're all in agreement that the Premier League is total sh*t and needs Brighton in it to make it more glamorous.

I only just saw this. I don't understand the logic at all. Not because I am a Palace fan. I genuinely don't know why they think Swansea, Burnley, West Brom etc are any less glamorous than they are (they missed a few others too). Other than rose tinted goggles. I do understand that the teams they listed, including us, aren't the more desirable teams to watch on the TV for a neutral especially across the pond. But Brighton are in entirely the same boat. If they came up they'd be in that same group of teams they are bemoaning. Imagine Brighton vs West Brom on Saturday lunch time on BT Sport. I don't expect it'd get any more viewers than Stoke vs Swansea (for example).

So if there's a number one reason to wish ill upon them, it's this bizarre delusion that they deserve to be in the top flight because they'll re-ignite and enrich the league in some way that Middlesbrough, Norwich, Hull, Burnley, Palace and Bournemouth haven't in recent years.

Sounds like plain old jealousy from the gift that keeps on giving. Even if they ever did get promoted, we'd be waiting to crush their dreams and send them back to the Championship with their tails between their legs.

"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!"

"The championship is brilliant and the only big downfall is the parachute payments and over inflated wages and transfer fees...I'm also only interested in getting promoted for mr bloom as I have no interest in the premiership...
If and when we get promoted I Won't be going to any matches that's a fact..."
